i have a few. i might try to find a different gauge. i havent decided yet. i'll hold some up to the pack after it is painted black to see if they look good.

so i got some acrylic paints in a bottle. im wondering if i can just paint with it as is or do i need to thin it out first.

Definitely thin it out a bit first. when you pull out the paint onto your plate or newspaper, or whatever you use... mix a small amount of water in with it. This will help with brushlines (after a few coats) and will elimate runs and textured surface. :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

And Space Jockey... I use Smooth On products. Smooth Cast 300 for the resin, and Smooth On Oomoo 30 for my molds. For heads, I use Styrofoam cups and suspend the head inside it to make it work. Easy as pie. :rock

Cheers for the advice, Josh, much appreciated! :duff

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

hey DA. i'm about 80% done with proton pack #1. looks pretty sweet for my first attempt. anyway i notice the paint chips off the edges pretty easily if i knock it against something. am i supposed to seal this with something?

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Sorry guys, this weekend was a bust for me... I had waaay too much going on and wasn't able to get much paint work done. But stuff coming soon guys, I promise.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

And DK2K, it is entirely possible. I can make ANY version of Arnold from T1, Army jacket version (which I have done twice), Police station scene (might be hard to find the shades though), or the end with the super damaged head.

Sweet ! I would like to have one when you can.

I think it would be a nice companion piece for the PF.

ANd I don't think we will ever get it as a PF...

And I think he looks so much bigger in T1 too.

So... Can we get that on the list ? :angelsmil

I was talking about this one, maybe Paul switched boots? But these look like leather ones:
