Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Did some work on Indy today (to help get me jumpstarted again), repaint and weathering. Sad thing is that the jacket cannot be weathered... but still I am very happy with the outcome. These pics suck something awful, but I will take better ones tomorrow if I can.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Awesome work Josh! Just makes me wonder why you and some of the others here aren't working for Sideshow yet. Then again if you were, we probably wouldn't be able to send you our stuff to get repainted. :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Very nicely done Josh, first time I've seen that there's a gap between Indy's hair and the hat to make it seem really worn instead of molded to him, nice detail. I love the one shot with Supes in the back looking pissed off. "^^^^ing Indy gets painted before I'm finished!"

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

indy looks great josh & those pics dont look bad to me. was wondering though why cant the jacket be weathered? is it the type of material??

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

That's what the figure needed, you took the gloss out and the eyes are MUCH better.

Great job! :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks guys! Well, the pics don't show all the tiny details in the paint or the extra attention to weathering... I will take a variety of pics later, with different poses and without the coat.

And the coat itself won't take my normal (sanding sponge) weathering approach. I think it will take chalk dusting or something along those lines pretty well. But the sanding didn't do much that I liked, so I abandoned it. The straps in the back look better now that I darkened them, which is nice.

Looks like someone is gonna get a lot of Indy repaint gigs. :D

Terrific work, J. :clap

Please let us know what the turnaround time is for an Indy, if you please.

Yeah Josh you gonna start a wait list on any of the repaints for Indy? After seeing yours I'm down if you are up for it, I'll be getting him sometime next week. Also PM your rates.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks guys, and for those interested... Indy repaint and weathering would be $55 shipped.

But today I got something pretty cool that lifted my spirits a bit.... I won a contest on Horrorbid, and got a Ben Tramer from Horror Sanctum Studios (The only Tramer Devious ever made)... which was very cool. I took some shots in celebration for them, thought I would share it with you guys..

The Night Tramer Did NOT Come Home....
