I say, NO! End this madness now. That is an order! From your older friend, former teacher and "mentor"! I did not teach a fool! We made mistakes, but for crying out loud, let's rise up, and reclaim what is our's, mainly, OUR DIGNITY! And we cannot do that by blocking our own way with such self inposed tags.

I am fighting like hell muself, and to regain a footing that I know I can eventually find again. It must be done and can't be that hard to do. And hey, don't let down that which you've borrowed from me!

Just...do it. And remember, (this is one I have trouble with) There is no such thing as stress. It's an artificial concept. You can't find it, measure it, grab it, poke or KICK it. It doesn't exist. Now, go paint.

(And don't ever let me see you taking my old moves out like that, and hang 'em up and beat em like an old rug! I am still proud of my meager skills, even with aging eyes and less than stellar heart. At least you have 20 years to be where I am physically! Remember that, buckaroo! )

Well said GB. It's too bad. The customs section used to be a place where friends got together. Then a bunch of ???????s joined the board and sent this place to the dump.

This is the very reason why I pretty much stopped posting here.

Hi Josh,
I am so sorry to hear about all that you are going through. I wish there was something I could do to help.

I think you've gotten some very good advice and agree with everyone who suggests that you change your avatar. You are no failure Josh. Far from it. You are a stand up and honest guy who just got in over his head. That happens to the best of us. I know it's hard, but the best thing right now is to stay positive. Know that you will get this stuff done and clear your plate. It can all be overwhelming, but chipping away will help you see that light at the end of the tunnel where you will be free.

I really like the list idea too. If you like that idea and would like help with it, I would be more than happy to compile a list and keep track of who's items are completed/in progress/shipped.

Just know Josh, that you have a lot of friends here who really care about you and your well being. We are here for you...not only in spirit and kind thoughts, but we are willing to help you with this burden.

Just a thought. I don't see why the submission date is necessary for public view. Some things are much more time sensitive then others. All it will take is one person getting their work back before another that submitted theirs earlier and there will be another riot. I think name and item(s) is sufficient. Just trying to keep the peace and sanity.

Personally, I'd be a bit pissed off by this. While I understand both sides of it, I'd just see this as throwing it in my face of how far behind I am and how much work there is to do. Add to that Praxitas' point of someone getting their stuff before an older customer and the older customer ranting about it. Overall, while intentions may be good, it seems even moreso like just a really, bad idea. Josh is a stand-up guy and he already knows what's on his plate, from whom and when they ordered and he's already beating himself up over it all. Leave well enough alone.

Just my 2 cents worth on it.

That's why I'm saying if he wants it gone, then it's gone. Here's my thoughts behind it:

A) it gives him a way to see what needs to be done, but more importantly, it gives him a one-stop place to see who is interested in ending the transaction or following another option besides having to finish the job without having to scroll through page after page, looking for each piece of information.

B) the reason for the date is in no way meant to make him feel bad, it's again a way for him to be able to go to one post and see who has been waiting the longest and potentially work on finishing those pieces first.

I suppose another option would be for me or someone else to put the list together outside of the message board so that it's not so public...

Until Josh chimes in Yay or Nay on the whole list thing, let's not make lists or post private details of the transaction, a simple wondering what's going on with your project or whatever is enough.

The list posts are temporarily removed, if Josh approves doing that, they can be restored.

No, it was something months ago, I can't even remember, but I kept noticing a mess going on with a thread or two in there and it was easier just to give me authority to just clean it up instead of reporting it all.

Meanwhile, since Josh DID say he doesn't read many PMs and prefers for people to post messages for him here:

Josh, in an earlier PM you mentioned that my remake Jason was almost done (I think you said something about the head needing to be attached and then it was done.) Could you let me know if that is indeed the case? If so, I'd be happy to take it as-is, attach the head myself, and if there are any finishing touches necessary, I can try to do them myself. Also, if you haven't finished the Part 4 1:6 mask, could you let me know how far along it is? Even if it's just a blank cast mask, I'd accept that.

Just let me know and we'll try getting my stuff out of your place asap!

Let me echo that, Josh. If it really would ease things for you, I would also take a refund on Ash. I decided to go ahead and make my own kitbash at this point. I would still prefer yours of course, but if it will give you some piece of mind, let me know.

I would love a refund but, I don't see any real likelihood that it will be timely, seeing as how Josh has mentioned he sells his own items to pay for shipping. So I will just hold out for the Joker, last I saw a progress pic the costume looked done, and the face was primed; so I guess it will be awhile.

I just came across this thread, and I'm REALLY sorry to hear that you're going through all this stress!!!! I haven't read every post, but I saw some of your letters and got the jist of it.... It seems like you have a FULL FORCE BUSINESS going with the custom work! And you're doing all this while having a full time job AND school AND a wife?!?! I applaud you for even thinking about taking on more work!

I'm sorry that this has been a drag for you Since the first time we hung out and you made my Iron Man SIM repaint I knew you were a genuinely nice guy. And by seeing how long this thread is just shows how popular you are with this community. And THAT is a huge accomplishment man. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. I love the feeling of family in this community, and I'm more than willing to help a freak in need

This is a private matter between a customer and the individuals involved. A public list is not a good idea as it implies some sort of culpability on behalf of the forum.

Also I'd say that if you aren't one of the affected parties, there's no real reason for you to be posting in this thread.

Man this thread is a roller coaster. I've sent a few PM's that weren't responded to but it's not a big deal as Josh came in and explained he doesn't even look at them anymore.

I would like to know how far along my Gordon and Han Solo heads are though. Last pic I saw of Gordon, he looked done. How about Han? If they are close to being done, let me know and I'll Paypal you extra $$$ for shipping when the time comes. Just want an idea, not a solid commitment.
And I'll throw out that if Han isn't started yet, you can just send me the heads and no refund is required. I've already written off the money and your under enough stress so that can be my way of helping out.

Hey Josh, I know you're doing like a million things at once right now so I understand the delay. I just want you know that you can take how ever long you need with the Ash head sculpt.
