Hee hee hee. That's my small project an idea that was amazingly brought to life by Josh.

Josh, your stuff is so amazing I'm seriously considering just sending you all my figures to be redone. Seriously man you rule! :rock

:rock:rock:rock

Thanks Mike! I'm just so glad you like it. He was a tough tough challenge to make happen and it's just amazing to have him finished and nearly ready to send out to ya. Thank you for giving me the chance to do it!

sweeet love the body art, with this i cant wait to see if you try maul again. great as always.

Thanks man! Yeah, this one was really tough... But thanks to his body being skin tone and everything, it wasn't too hard to match the skin and face. If you get scratches, which I did.... they are hardly noticeable.

If only SSC had made a Red body. :monkey2

Maybe I could buy a Hellboy and steal his Body???? :monkey1

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

well i always thought about just straight spray painting a body red, then cutting mauls tats into paper and alligning them on the body and using it as a easy guide. i still might take on the project. but i have to say your work is inspiring.

Damn Josh! That Clone Wars deco is awesome!!! :rock :rock

It even makes the crummy base body look good! :rotfl

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

That looks cool as hell Josh. I really like that people are offering new and fun ideas for their figures, not just you standard repaint!!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I knew you were working on this, Josh, and I got to tell you, he looks awesome! The tatoos are flawless! Clean and perfect. Well done!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

hm, i'm not familar to the ghost anakin, but those are VERY crisp tatoos lines there indeed

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Wow! Fantastic job on the Anakin. The only thing missing is his arm pit hair :lol That would look strange on a figure :monkey4

The robotic hand doesn't look half bad painted like his first hand. A blown up version would be cool too. Hey, maybe you just made the C IV exclusive without even knowing it?! :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks guys!!! Really glad to see that you all like him... But again a lot of the credit is due to Jedi Mike and his never ending array of creative ideas. When he came to me with this one I was scared and intrigued... This kind of project pushes you forward as an artist, and I was glad to take it on.

I started out painting the body a base color and then sealing that several times. I then drew the tats on with pencil from the reference shots I had.. (which switched depending on how close he was to the camera...:lol

I then carefully painted the blue onto those areas and later came back with a lighter flesh tone to add some depth and fix a few lines that weren't quite straight enough. After that it was another few coats of seal and that's that.

And it would be nice to do a blown up arm... Didn't have an extra robot arm to use... :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

hehe, what a great idea for a custom. Very inventive.

You've got those tattoos very neat indeed Josh. Crisp straight edges..... excellent work!
