Thanks man! I hope to take some nice pics in the light tomorrow! he was my first non-caucasian skin tone so I was kinda nervous. And as you can tell I tend to face my fears head on and tackle them first!!

I also stained a shirt for Connor so that he could have that "end of the film" look. I'm also gonna get him some gloves too!! His jeans were too light so I darkened them as well....

I like that shirt on Connor much better than the one he came with....Also the pants look better a darker shade...way to go Josh!

Excellent job on Apone! I think I've painted about eight of the things by now, and not one person has stepped up and posted a pic of the completed figure!!

Thanks everyone!! I would love to see someone with this sculpt in use, though... I know that I am gonna replace my Hicks with the Frontline version, can't wait to do that! And you can bet I am gonna post pics!!

I'll also take better Connor pics tomorrow as well, with some natural lighting.

I just got finished painting Apone from Aliens for Ironman..... Just wanted to share them really quick before I went off to eat...

Off to eat?? With work left to do?? <sigh>
I don't have the Hot Toys but am making my own Apone. I will be sure to post pix of him, Hicks and Hudson when completed.

BTW, he DOES look great!!

LOL! Glad you like him Ironman! I had a blast working on him, and he was kinda tricky in places...

I am gonna do a few more today I hope. If so, you can bet you will see pictures. And when you get those customs done I'd love to see them! Especially a Hudson! He rules!!

I wish Hot Toys would have made him....

Ok, I just wanted to send a HUGE word of thanks to Lin (MurderofCrows) for being so cool and sending me a copy of Model Mania Vol I and II, the knowledge I have learned from this DVD has helped me Tenfold and I cannot wait to put it to good use. I now know what I have been doing wrong and will take measures to correct it.

Now I can fix the Hicks and Apone eyes and better blend Hicks skin. Hopefully when this is done the appearance will be much more flatttering and more to my liking.

I will update the pics when I can do this... Again, thanks Lin... You rock.

Sure! If I can find out how to burn one on my fiance's computer, you can bet I will mail you out a copy! If anything to return the favor...

Some of the techniques in this video really surprised me and gave me a million ideas.... I'm sure it would help you just as much...

Ok guys, just repainted the hair and eyebrows on Hicks... also redid the eyes, as they were bugging me. I really wanted to put the new techniques I learned to use and it turned out fantastic! I'm really proud of it and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

IronMan, only a few more and I should be about ready to ship them out to you!!

Thats looks great Josh...Your painting skills are definitely becoming their own.....I looks like "a Josh" head....Fantastic! Now once your photo skills match your painting you will be unstoppable....j/k man....I really like his eyes too....Your best paint yet!!!

it's only available on VHS as far as I know, I just transfered all my VHS onto DVD-R and got rid of the tapes

Thanks guys!! I appreciate the nice comments on my work. The DVD was very good about showing the ins and outs of dry-brushing and washes. Also very very helpful when it came time to do eyes. Wonderful instruction, I'm very happy to have had this... And it could not have come at a better time.

I seriously got lucky when I painted Apone, somehow he turned out awesome. But with Hicks I needed the extra help.
