I'm not too worried by the size since I'm not putting him next to Supes anyway. Supes will be with my JL display and this guy will just be somewhere just cause he's awesome. Maybe when they do ore superman. Lilian's eventually he can hangout with Doomsday brainiac and lex.

I'm digging him Bill. The sculpt was never in question for me personally. I think he looks fantastic. My only issue with the piece is the size to cost ratio. We were charged an Apocalypse/ Gladiator (King) Hulk cost for Darkseid ($600). I'm still not convinced we'll get the same bang for our $$$ because he seems undersized compared to those 2 pieces. Unless we can see Darkseid next to Apoc or G/H Hulk, we really don't get a sense of his scale. SSC definitely overcharged for Darkseid if he can't run with those big boys. Other than that, I have no issues with the piece. I certainly don't want a fat Darkseid like some peeps around here. He looks great as is if the scale on the piece holds up.

Unfortunately, the prices are just getting higher. They might make a bigger Darkseid in a few years, but it'll probably cost you a whole lot more. I'm perfectly fine with the size. The statue seems pretty damn big to me.

Understand the increasing prices. But we are talking $600 ...not $450 or $500 for this size Darkseid. For $600, Darkseid should've been bigger.

It perfectly makes sense. If you're not sure about the final result, waiting for in hand pics makes sense and hopping up and down the WL pretty much guarantees you the purchase while buying time.
People who think that waitlists won't convert are just in denial or SS fanboys who want to hype the statue, just look at every statue being released in the last few years.

It makes perfect sense. I am in Canada (Ontario) and have to pay 13% tax which is a huge pain in the ass to get back from the government. So, I was hoping my waitlist would convert after inhand reviews. This isn't a must have for me, so it's not the end of the world if I don't score one.

Ex Apocalypse, Punisher EX, Green lantern EX, Batman Black LSB....I figure the Green and Grey Hulk are about to join that list as is Pinhead, because people thought 600 on the EX was too much for him.

Waitlisting is still a gamble, just because the odds have been favorable so far, doesn't mean it's going to work everytime.

Flip of the coin: I've seen Apocalypse Ex going for retail or under many times, so no loss there.
I jumped on Lobo's WL one day after it "sold out" and people here told me it wouldn't convert. 4 days later, it converted.
Let's not kid each other - some people here around are just fanboys who love to over hype every statue just for the sake of it.

I'm personally gonna wait for in-hand pics. The statue is Great but I need to see if he's somewhat the proper size. He literally looks just as big as Batman, which is not a good thing. We shall see.

So...you naturally go back to the last worst thing to happen, and not any of the pieces in between that and pre-ordering this? And compare that to this, even though Darkseids paint scheme doesn't appear anywhere near as complex as Apocalypse's was?

I'm all for, "hey I'm gonna wait for in hand pics because I'm not sold over-all", but your logic is a bit weird.
