I've been so busy lately I haven't had any time to post any updates or photos.... so I thought I'd just let you all know what's going on.
I'm almost finished on a one-off commission for a World War One figure I was asked to sculpt, somebody's grandfather from old black and white photos... thats turning out really well.
The legolas heads are starting to slowly trickle out now. (even though I said I would let people know when they were ready... some impatient people paid in advance anyway, so obviously they'll be getting theirs first)
I'm almost done reworking the SS Arnie head. changed the mouth a bit and cut off the neck completely and made a new one. makes a huge difference, just angling the head up slightly to give him that 'jaw sticking out' look that Arnie has has really made the sculpt shine... also giving him some muscle definition on the neck helps too.
And I've been commmissions to resculpt and paint this hudson head.
it was supposed to be just a
very quick resculpt.... only changing one or two things on it, but knowing me.... I've ended up resculpting pretty much the whole face. lol
It's still only a quick job.... so I'm not going to get a fabulous likeness I dont think... but it's looking good already. Basically filled in the back of the head (it was way too flat) and changing the jaw, cheeks, resculpted new lips, cheeks, changing the shape of the face, and I'm
thinking about resculpting the eyes..... although that's a biggie and I don't know if I'm up to that yet. I'd hate to ruin the work I'd done on the thing, lol
Also I'm well on the way with the Ripley commissioned resculpt too. I've done more since this pic was taken... I'm working on the teeth and lips, then the jaw and... well, anything else I think can be improved a bit.
Also I'm almost done with a Will Turner head for any Pirates of the Caribbean customs people (and me) might want to do.
For those who are waiting for Anakin/Obi-Wan heads I've just received a quote I was happy with to have those cast, for those who asked for them. So a few weeks and they should all be going out, finally. (I need a production team, lol)
Then there are some Aragorn, Legolas repaints/full figure customs to be done... and some Wolverine/Superman/Anakin/Obi-Wan... and other random repaints.
and then.... THEN.... I can finally do General Zod.
So i'm getting there... there have been two main sculpts that have been slowing me down with all my other commissions, but they should be finished this week (or the start of next) ... and that along with having all my work cast by someone else now means my waiting list will be getting shorter.... and not longer as it
has been doing!
