lol thanks Spidey, I see that I have some. I'm just getting to my pm's in a few minutes. I've spent the first 5 hours this morning answering emails. *sigh*

oh and guys, thanks for all the previous comments.

here's a couple of pics of a head I finished yesterday... not great pics but they're clear enough.

OMG this is amazing the eyes look great. I want mine the same as this one it looks sooo good.
I was realy looking forward to seeing what you could do with this sculpt and you realy did bring it to life.
I sent my head today plus the sword and sheild for casting.
keep up the good work

amazing repaint Darren!!!!!! the entire thing is perfection. i love the drybrushing on the hair in particular, and the eyes, and skintone... and everything else for that matter.

when I get round to yours I'll spend just as much time on it :rock

and Reinhardt..... you're far too kind you know that? lol :bow

well Ripley's nostrils didn't look quite right to me... so instead of making tiny adjustments and resculpts here and there..... I cut her nose off.

....You ever do something and then within 10 seconds wish you hadn't done it? lol. :duh It's alright though, I'll get it fixed and looking exactly how it should be.... will just take me longer that's all

Well the good news is that despite some worries that I wouldnt be able to sculpt the Ripley nose from scratch... I've done her left nostril over the weekend and it looks good :lol so I think it will be the right decision to cut the nose off and do it myself. phew!

Havent checked in, been a while ? you got married yet ?

and you still got me in the que ?
wedding not till the 27th September.... but it feels like tomorrow!!!

and I don't have my waiting list with me, can you pm me and remind me what you were down for? cheers!

Luke turned out great, Darren! That sculpt is always challenging, hard to get a nice expression out of it. But you did an awesome job. :rock2

yeah thanks Josh. It was a tough one... from some angles it looks just like him, and from others it looks too young, too round faced, and not like him at all. Certain parts of the face are just spot on... and when it's done it looks really good. I admit to looking at yours and Les's before I started, to check which direction I wanted to go with for my own.

I'm glad I went the way I did.. I'm really pleased with it, and thankfully (and more importantly) the customer is really pleased too! :rock

All your work is simply stunning ! I don't know if your selling anything but I just wanted to let you know you were so ^^^^ing amazing :monkey5

best regards

Romain

I'll try to remember that metaphorge. We're in the early planning stages now... sorting out the NYC hotel at the moment, then we'll work our way through the rest of the trip getting a rough idea of where we'd like to see, and who we'll have time to meet up with. But I appreciate the offer :rock

I've just noticed that I've got a few pm's waiting here in my inbox for me, I'll get to those during the next hour or so... sorry I haven't dont them sooner. I've been mainly answering my emails in the morning (which takes a few hours) then getting straight on with sculpting and painting, trying to get as much finished as possible before we're away for the honeymoon. (at which point, as you can read on my blog, I won't be taking any new customs...)

In the ongoing attempt to raise more money to make the honeymoon possible (we're ALMOST there now.... just), I'm sad to say I'm letting go of this guy. And I really didn't want to. I always loved this sculpt, and once I'd painted it I liked it even more. I really wanted to keep hold of this to go with any Vader that I made (although now that SS is making one I won't have to make one.... the things you miss when you're off the site for a few days!!!!), but the NYC hotels are turning out to be WAY more expensive at that time of year than the earlier quotes we'd had.... so more things are going! :rock

Here's a few quick snaps, although no doubt I'll take some better ones when I put him up for auction possibly on Sunday or maybe during next week. Might make another YouTube vid as well

anyway.... the pics (I quickly resized them in Windows not Paint Shop Pro, so the quality isn't great.... but you can see close enough for now anyway)

You work as always is amazing. I keep meaning to find a project to commission you. I've got three Les heads and no Carnell's. :( I need a piece of art from all the great artist on here.

thanks guys :bow

It's funny... I was always happy with the Jedi Luke figure. Even with the surprised expression (which was 75% from the paint job on the eyes) I still thought it looked just like Hamill from that film... so for a long time I didn't do anything with it.

And then once I'd painted it, and I got used to having it on my shelf looking like that, I guess I forgot what it used to look like... so whenever I see a pic of it now with the original paint I'm "woah... he DOES look like someone shoved something up his arse!" :lol

still one of my favourite figures though

...and wofford? I'll always be here :) (although after 20th September I won't be adding any more names to my waiting list/work schedule, and I'll be spending the next year or so working my way through all the customs.... so whether you get your name on the list for something before that, or even after that... I'm gonna be doing this for the next 50 years probably anyway, so I think you've got some time!)

I just posted this on my website, so I figured I'd copy and paste it here as well

I've had a few messages from customers recently who said that they had missed some posts I made showing new customs, because they hadn't been to the website for a while. Well there is no need to ever miss a new custom or post ever again!

If you look to the right you'll see a box where you can enter your email address. Once you have gone through this (I've even done it myself), every time I make a new post on this website.. you'll be sent a short email telling you that I've made a new post. It even gives you the title of the post so you can decide whether you think it's something you may be interested in or not.

Why not give it a try... lots already have, and it will mean you are always up to date on my latest custom figures, or any other notifications (ebay auctions etc)

ok, there you go.... no need to ever miss or be late seeing any of my customs or website posts :)
