Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

But do you get what I'm saying though. If you've got Vader with his LS in hand, why does he have one on his belt?

Go to the SS website and look at the Vader Mythos statue picture number 5 of 11. Where's the sabre???? Picture 9 of 11 also shows the LS on the ground.

It's supposed to be removable like the Obi-wan was.

That would leave a problem. If it is removable why is it not provided with Obi and if it is supplied with vader why couldn't they do the same thing?

This one will be tasty when it's released...

I was under the impression the obi-wan hilt was sculpted onto the statue but I guess they just completely dropped the ball and didn't include it at all.

To be honest, I don't care for Vader holding the sabre. The only way o display this is looking at the helmet, saber hilted on his side.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

To be honest, I don't care for Vader holding the sabre.

I don't think anyone does to be honest. Making it even more essential that they do include the attachable saber. I'd honestly have preferred these to be $50 less with less display options. Vader in particular seems like a waste since it appears the helmet does not have the glow reflection giving it a really awkward looking contrast.

I'd be surprised if anyone displayed him with the helmet and saber in hand. This statue's all about the look with the helmet off.

Well said...a perfect expression

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

Think I am going to ask for this as my Birthday/Christmas present. As someone said, this statue sums up the whole Star Wars Saga.

I agree with everyone though. the paint apps will make or break this.

I think I will mostly display with Helm off. And sometime with Helm on and fist raised. Don't think I will ever display with Saber in hand. Does not look natural and sort of Boring.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

I think that with time, I will get over the clean helmet on a weathered body...

....I think I still need more time. :monkey4

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

Funnily enough I'd imagine with the majority of people likely going with the helmet off pose. I bet we see some killer mods if SS do leave it that shiny black colour.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

Lets be honest, SS does not want o make a removable sabre, the same thing that happened with Obi Wan. If the choice was between having the sabre hilted or having the arm with it ignited, I'd take he hilted as a fixed item.

OR, if we were to really get our money's worth and have both an extra arm but keep the hilted sabre at his side, I wouldn't mind him holding an ignited Jedi sabre in his hand. Kind of reflecting on the kill he just made.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

yes.. give me the hilt.. forget about the clean helmet, cause I will not be possing him him it.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

Because these are all hand painted, I'm predicting some majorly botched orange helmets with terrible paint jobs. I hope I'm not one of them.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

You can't pose this with the helm on. Nice to have the option but this is just to well done without it.:)

Oh you can post with the helm on. While I will pose with Helm off. Helm on with his fist up will be displayed just as much as that kicks pretty good butt and tells a whole other story.

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

The orange paint will make or break this. Looks like the same effect they r trying to create on sauron

Re: Darth Vader (Mythos) Statue

Aren't you just a ray of sunshine?! :wink1:

Lol call me Debbie downer! I know I am, but that's what's coming. That's a delicate gradient and I hope they have a process that ensures high standards and continuity amongst their artists/painters. But you know some people's helmets are gonna be jacked up. That's reality when you have hand painted works of art.

I can't wait to get this and fett. Also can't wait to see what's next for this line. Do you think they will announce more this year?
