Darth Maul 12" Image Thread

True, but I like this interpretation. And the poses are 1st-rate. Very well done.

Yeah, I was only momentarily upset by them not being film accurate. The motocross boots he wears in the film really don't seem to go well with the rest of his outfit.

I wasent sure if i was going to get the 12" figure but after this pics it looks real good.
Besides I got pretty much all the line up of darth maul sideshow
1:1 scale bust , pf 1/4 and I am watting for medicom darth maul.
Might as well get the 12" figure.

Hi guys, after giving it much thought and gathering enough courage, I finally have the guts to canibalized my darth maul my cutting his arms (between the elbow and wrist) just to get rid of the monkey arm look. I also painted the upper lips, and that improve the figure a lot.


THe newly cut arms. Looks hideous, I wont be posing without his robe anyway

And now, here's the Man himself, with his new proportioned arms!

Nice work on fixing the monkey arms. How much did you have to cut off from the arms?

Yup, a definite improvment. I've been thinking about maybe using a smaller body for my Maul... maybe one of those Barrack Sergeant Body Builder bodies. I do kinda like the smaller body on Maul... which while the Hot Toys body is only like 1/8" or so taller than the Sideshow body it does make a difference. I'd also like him to be shorter than Anakin.

I used a DiD body for mine. It's slightly taller with a bit more muscle to it. I really like it.



The height along side Obi-Wan is good too.

Roughly 15cm from the wrist peg. Then you have to estimate the length of the arm you want to cut. Its better to cut out short length from the forearms as you can sand it with sand paper later the they look long before you glue them together. Try it out

Your darth maul looks great standing next to obi wan cocoboloboy. Now where's the fighting pics of those two? How did you manage to get the darth maul noggin to fit into a BBI neck post?

Dedguy, the seargent body does look similar to BBI's. It would be fun to have all that articulation on maul. But the ankle articulation can't be fully utilized as the darth maul's boots are stiff.

Think I got them from GoodStufftoGo.... although you can get Newline stuff pretty much anywhere. I actually like the DiD and In the Past boots better just for their flexibility in general but I think the bulkier newline boots more closely approximate Maul's actual boots.
