I about had it with Sideshow 12" Starwars!!!

Anyone have this problem???? I got the Sith Lords todays and both palpatine and Sidious arms are glued at the elbow joint....just like the luke bespin and obi-wan was...
I am tired of having to undress these figure to heat the joint over to break the joint.
This has got to stop. I broke my luke bespin moving the elbow joint and I am darned I am gonna break these....Sideshow makes good stuff but the body has got to change or fix the damn joints.....120 bucks for glued body parts?

I've noticed the same thing with my Old ben figure.I was trying to pose his hand up to his chin and his arm just would'nt bend to make that pose.I just thought it was because of how crappy SS figure's are.Old Ben is the only other SS figure that I own besides my Jabba display. And I was getting the Old ben figure thinking that SS was getting there ***** together, but I guess I was only dreaming.:D:lol

What are all these problems people are having with the joints? I've never had that happen; yeah they're nice and stiff, but it only takes a firm bend to make it work perfectly fine. I still don't see what's wrong with the Sideshow body. Compared to the Hot Toys and Medicom bodies, I really haven't noticed any real difference. Maybe I'm just not nit-picky enough to be a true collector. :monkey2

never had a medicom or hot toys body arms joint stuck.I dont like only being able to bend Sideshow elbows half way.One more thing, the Sidious does not match the look of him on the box.His face is brighter just like the hasblow version compared the darker shade look on the box...he looks more evil on the box then in hand...these are not worth $120 for the both

"Oh dear, we are in trouble".

gee everytime i say that, everyone thinks im crazy and that the buck arms can bend as much as say a hot toys body.:rolleyes:

I don't think peopel think you're crazy, it's just 2 sides of the matter. The other people are arguing from the point of view of when the joints aren't stuck for any reason, the stuck issue being something I've always found easy to remedy but rarely had to deal with. Your point of view, I'm guessing, is referencing a body that has stuck joints that only allow 50% of the elbow's articulation to be utilized and the otherrs just didn't realize that.

Yeah, that stiff elbow really does spoils one's enjoyment of the figure. For the price we pay, we shouldnt be hairblowing the elbow to loosen it.

That last pose makes me think Darth Maul could skate in the Winter Olympics. :lol

Glad to see this thread bumped again. Seeing as how this is a SS forum. ;)

Ok,so seeing as this is an SS forum, you should bring crappy out of date figure threads back from the dead an blindly praise them, because there's a better version (Medi Maul) of the figure in the SW section.. uhh.. yeah that's real original.

thanks for resurrecting the SS maul thread. i love this figure. he is sitting right next to me by my computer. great version of maul. the only thing i cant decide is what to buy with the $100 i saved from not buying the red light bulb with horns.
