Something this big and of this high price point, i HIGHLY doubt SS will even replace one time. It is going to set them back big time. They will probably only offer you a small refund for you to keep it with the defect, or have you return it for your money back.

SS did offer replacements for the life size droids and those were $5k each, so I am confident the same will happen with this line.

Maybe I missed something but isn't that only with Flexpay if you want your order to start on Jan 25th? Otherwise your Flexpay will just start the next month?

You are correct. All Flexpay orders have a deadline so they can start up the scheduled payment plan.

Thanks guys I knew that, I just didn't finish drinking my coffee...:Flush

It was confirmed here that Obi's head was painted by a talented boardmember,Silentsurfer if I remember correctly, and the hands were painted by the factory...that hardly qualifies as a production piece... could you elaborate, please? Thanks.

Confirmed here, meaning SS painted the prototype head. That doesn't mean the one at the show wasn't a production piece. They can still paint the Obi head and that wouldn't change the fact that SS painted the prototype head. You realize this, right? :lol

I do like the fake low quantity bar that never goes down that they they have up for flexpay tho. Very good marketing.

If there are only 100 spaces allotted for Flexpay, the LQ bar would be accurate. :wink1:

I had the absolute honor of getting to paint this amazing LSF debut figure.

I can't wait to see it set up tomorrow at the booth.

Since the bar started just after it went up, hasn't dropped at all and it's open/TBD ES that's not the case. :wink1:

Damn, was hoping to see Alter Ego and other e-tailers price this lower than Sideshow like they do on their usual products... but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. :(

$1999.99 from both outlets?

SSC is really trying to make it so there isn't really a reason to go away from them. eTailers for an item this big will have SSC "drop ship" it so it's still worth it for CA residents to go elsewhere, especially since AE is offering a payment plan, to avoid the tax.

Did you read the post? Or, since you've already stated you're not buying it, are you just trolling this thread? :huh

If Sideshow has only allocated (meaning only allowed) 100 of these to be Flexpayed, that would mean that only 100 pieces can be purchased through Flexpay. This would also mean that the "low quantity" alert bar would be accurate, given that only 100 pieces can be purchased through this method.

If you still don't understand, let me know and I'll be more than happy to do a 1-syllable word breakdown.

So less than 10 were sold on flexpay since the low quantity bar went up right when it was released on a TBD/open edition size piece? Did you even order this piece on flex or are you just trolling? :huh

Funny how you got to break out the insults on a simple reply post, guess that's the only way you communicate and we know who the real troll is. :rotfl

Given the price and the economy, you think that's surprising? :dunno

Look at the Attakus Yoda. At a measly 499 pieces, and an OT piece, 8 years ago that would've bee waitlisted shortly after going up.

Nam is no troll. He's just a grumpy old collector. ;)

I'd be grumpy too if I could only drink PBR. :monkey4 :drink :sick

Personally I think something this high-end needs an established ES when going up for order. A $100 action figure I get, but if someone is plunking down $2k they deserve to know how limited an item is going to be.

Josh's Av is freaking me out. I know it's Frodo looking over the ring but for some reason everytime I look at it at a glance it looks like to ladies with lucious lips fighting over the ring in their mouths.

Well if this was a 2000 painting in a gallery, it'd definately have #120/500 in the corner. Honestly, if I were to put down the money and for Wolverine or Indy, it would be very very tempting, I'd have to know the quality was BETTER than any 1/4th...and that means materials and paint apps.
