Indeed!
I just can't see how someone can say they can't see Park in the sculpt.

When you're opinion is significantly outnumbered, you have to start wondering about the possibility of poor vision.

Poor vision?

I am not allowed to put into question the way you see things.

So please once again, you need to be tolerant and not to assert this kind of nonsense : "When you're opinion is significantly outnumbered, you have to start wondering about the possibility of poor vision."

Amazing resemblance. Much better than the LSF.

Man, I wish they had made more than 10 of these busts. Really is incredible.

I'm lucky enough to be one of the few getting this Maul from Bjorn. It's supposed to be shipped out to me next week and I'll be sure to post pictures of mine when I receive it.

Hey guys, I just want to chime in here for a moment to make sure there isn't any confusion as to where these busts originated.

The 1:1 Maul and Emperor bust/sculpts being shown were both Cyberman/Gino projects.
Cyberman sculpted while I art directed as a two-man effort.
These busts were developed, sculpted, and art directed by Cyberman and myself alone.
We worked on each sculpt for approx. a year each (although we were super busy with other projects during those times).

Bjorn (Elm Studios) did not sculpt or create the busts shown in this thread.
He gets his castings from Cyberman and paints/dresses them into finished busts.
I just want to make this point super clear because for anyone reading this thread, it could accidentally be interpreted otherwise.
Especially to anyone not aware of the history of these pieces. :)

Bjorn does good work, but I just want to make sure it is clear to people where these sculpts/busts originated from. :wave

Here's a few pics of my own custom displays using the Cyberman/Gino Emperor and Darth Maul busts.

Just want to point out that these displays were finished by myself and not Elm-Studios (whom I think did a fine job on theirs as well.)

:thud: This is the Palpatine we've been looking for!! Far far better than the photos posted earlier. No comparison. This one here is the one to get. Bravo! You are extremely talented.

Yea, it's getting a little rough.

I really hope that we can call it, and return our attention to the beautiful LSF, and not to forget Gino's recent reply in this thread, which was very informative.

This is the same Cyberman sculpt used by both Gino and Elm-Studios ;)

JFY I just asked the mods for this thread to be cleaned up, including some of my posts.

Thanks Snoopy!

masterside,
It's all good.

If you can't see Ray Park in the Maul bust by Bjorn, then so be it.

At the very least, I'm glad we have choices from a lot of wonderful pieces.

As long as messages here are decent, and no one posts crap to get banned like Bastilla above, I think everything will be fine. I think the Elm Maul looks great and resembles the TPM character as well as Ray Park, but if someone doesn't see it that is it, no problem. :) We cannot force anyone to buy it (unfortunately quite impossible for this or the Emperor at the moment) and indeed there are other options for everyone out there. Plus there are people who collect only 1:2, or only statues and not busts, or only 1:6 and not statues, and so on. As they say: "to each his own" or "variety is the spice of life" :duff
