The custom 1:1 bust is also very impressive.

I was thinking the same thing. That bust had Ray park all over it and was a pretty good price. I tried to get one over the summer but they stopped making them.

Who was behind that anyways? I don't recall.

You mean this one? If I was a Maul collector I wouldn't care about the stubby baseball bat carrier LSF, but would get one of these Elm-Studios busts:

Thanks. Bjorn only made 10 Emperor busts, first wanted to make 20, but there were some problems - so only 10 were made. My Emperor comes with an Ian McDiarmid autographed plaque I got signed with Official Pix thanks to their send-in service for Celebration 6.

If you want a cool Darth Maul bust like above, just contact Bjorn on his site. The wait will be long, but well worth it. IMO a life-size bust like this is way more impressive than any scaled statue (statue which already has some issues)

But i don't see Ray Park in that headsculpt sorry.

I love the Elm studio Maul bust and the Emperor one as well. I was in contact with Bjorn last summer and I was priced with shipping and everything but something came up and he wasn't able to do one for me. I'm not sure it was timing or he just wasn't doing anymore. They seemed pretty busy because I waited weeks for responses. As for the LSF vs the the bust it all depends what you like. Maybe a 1:1 portrait without a body is not for some but IMO I love the 1:1 bust lines. I wish I had room for more. As for the LSF I really do think it looks pretty good but I still can't get over the scale and how it looks like a midget instead of a scaled statue. This bothered me from the beginning when the first photos came out at SDCC last summer. I'm sure it looks a lot better in person but I had to pass even being a huge Maul fan. I do want to say congrats to all who received this statue and love it. Great feeling when you get a statue and can't stoping looking at it. I still can't stop looking at my Mythos Maul I think my wife is getting jealous.

agreed. that elm studios bust is 100% ray park and 101% darth maul. what really impresses me is that they painted the skin tone first before doing the red & black. now that's attention to detail! stunning work there.

severely tempted to get one but not sure if i can handle the wait and the anxiety over the danger of shipping something so huge.

I agree 110%! Compared to every othe Maul made by SS, GG, or Attakus, this is the best Maul it seems. But, that is to be expected from a 1:1 bust. I've contacted Elm about getting one if possible. It will go well with the LSF I have coming plus all the other Maul swag from SS, GG, and my first Maul, Attakus. I also saw they have done an Emperor Palpatine bust, but it looks aweful and nothing like the character. I'll just stick with the Maul if I can get one.

Man, you must have problems with your eyes because that is absolutely Ray Park. It's that accurate it looks like a head cast of him! Especially that first photo where there is little paint on it.

The only version I've seen which is better is Gino's 1:1.
