Darth Vader life-size Bust--PREORDER NOW ON PAGE ONE!!!!

I'll pick this up down the road eventually, but I'm not in a rush to pre-order it. I've bought all the 1:1 bust below retail, including the Maul bust. I'll certainly get one, but gotta start saving for Celebration V. Congrats to all who've placed an order.

Actually, there is a cancellation fee on top of the deposit. Sure the fee won't be as much as the $1000 balance on the whole thing, but it'll cost more than the $250 to cancel this item.

Really? I think their mention of the "cancellation fee" was just a reference to the fact that you wouldn't get the deposit back if you cancelled. That's the way it was with the 1:1 droids*). Surely they would have to mention specifically what the cancellation fee was if there was a separate fee.

(* You may recall that I had to cancel my 1:1 R2-D2 due to some financial problems and Sideshow was kind enough to refund my deposit without me even asking, even though it was supposed to be non-refundable. So it's possible they won't be hard-asses about the deposit, but there's no way to know for sure.)

Oh ok, well that might make sense, I just know a couple times I had to click agreement to a cancellation fee.

I'm sure it's more a deterrant with the deposit than anything, unless they got a slew of cancellations they might be more relaxed about it, but they don't want to be stuck with these things either so they need something to assure orders placed are done so with a serious attitude.

But you actually spend alot for the Threepio then It's fair they let you had your deposit back as you actually kept your order for at least one of the droids... but I don't see Sideshow refund the deposit for the 1:1 Vader Bust... giving back to you the deposit for R2 was actually a way to thank you for keeping at least the Threepio order... We know that we are going to loose our money if we'll cancel Vader... for me It's fair enough.

Actually it didn't have anything to do with 3PO -- they offered to let me return it and get my money back (including the deposit) if I just paid the shipping, but I decided to keep it. They were very nice about the whole thing, I have to say.

Well, there's a difference between folks just placing orders they really shouldn't because there's no consequence and people with a serious intent to get something and having to back off at the last minute because of unforseeable circumstances.

Yeah, the only difference is the stand. While the stand would be nice, I don't think I have room to display the bust with the helmet beside it anyway, so I can live without it.

My stance is, if not on the Ex. stand, my only other place to put the rest of the helmet when showing off Anakin would be back in the box, I don't want to hastle with that, or it would be a matter of setting it down somewhere, which I feel would be a greater damage risk and takes up as much space as with the stand.

In theory too, you might have longer with BBTS before they come in, only a week or two maybe, but still. Luckily you'll have Sideshow notices posted here to know when it's coming. One thing I don't like about BBTS or Toys2 is the lack of notices when things are coming in, something I really love about Sideshow.

To get it just right for supporting this thing and the weight and time to figure that out, probably run you much more than the $50 Sideshow wants.
