I think it looks more impressive as a display piece unmasked imo. Its also balances out the issues of his shoulders. If some of you take off your SW beer goggles and analyse the pictures with helmet, it really does look a bit off, like a kid wearing the outfit...
Its still a magnificent piece but if i get it, i'd have to mod some shoulders on to it to balance it out

But why display it with the mask on anyway, thats a waste of 1200 bucks in my opinion.
This was meant to be displayed with the mask off for sure.

Ordered mine today. But I have to cancel a few of my pre-orders to make some room for the funding. This will be my first life size bust! Very excited as well as very broke!!! Like someone said, " Darth Vader IS Star Wars". It is a MUST HAVE.

He looks to be the perfect hieght to sit your own chestbox in front of him if you wish as well. While I agree this is an awesome piece, i could never justify the cost. Theres just too many other things I could get for that much money.

Ordered the ex, but anyone else wish you could display him with the mask and helmet on over the face inside? I'll probably display it without it anyway, but it would still feel more right if I could put the mask over his face.

Now you've got me wondering, is the top arm on teh stand for the mask and helmet and the lower one for his head, I can't imagine why they'd design it so you couldn't put the mask on with the head inside.

probably so you dont risk damaging the face putting the mask on. Seems obvious to me that the reason the head comes out at all is for this reason...

Well to me, the logical reason for the head being separate is for the collar to be removable that way it can be packed in a way you won't have to worry about breaking the tusks or any of the gadgets in the back.

It does make sense to protect the Anakin head, but suppose you wanted to have him just domeless with the Anakin head poking out the back, can't do that.

I'm on the fence with this, I really want to order but the deposit is a big deal, since I'm not sure if I'd actually be able to get it once it ships. Plus they have it listed for Q1 instead of July. I could use the deposit money towards the Yoda and Clone PF. But since there's the deposit I bet this will be around for a while.

I'm with a lot of you. I'm also on the fence. It's not so much the price. Don't get me wrong I ain't rich by no stretch of the imagination. I'm just worried that I won't like the final product and I'm out $250.

This means a lot to me and I'm not going to sit on the decision, it's done, I'm in.

It's such a great piece to pass up, I had to get it.
I was at work and my twin brother sent me a text letting me know it went up for pre-sale and I told him to order it for me.
That's 2 cool things he's done for me, get the exclusive Thrawn and now this!

Yup, I want the full deal, helmet stand and all. I'm going to divide his display time between Vader and reveal, much as I do with Maul hooded and unhooded, nice to be able to change them up every now and then, and having the stand will look nicer than just sitting it on a table top, plus I'm not sure if you could even do that and have it look right, the maks would probably not be flush into the top of the dome that way, with the stand it'll look sharp.

Plus now, I'm already 1/5 paid off on it

The only way I could swing the $250 deposit right now would be to spend the money that I have set aside to get my wife tickets to see the "So You Think You Can Dance" tour this fall, for her birthday/anniversary present. It's her favorite show and it would be a dream come true for her to get to see the top ten dancers perform live.

What should I do?

Well, advance tickets went on sale today. I found the password for the presale and was able to get floor seats for the show.

My wife will be sure to reward me in ways that make up for my missing out on Vader.

Well, for me I'd display it with the helmet on, even though the Anakin sculpt is really really good, it's just too iconic the other way, and they can't really mess up the helmet with painting so it shouldn't be a big deal. The face has a lot of detail in it so it might not look as good in production.
