I know we have a stand for the helmet when its not on the bust, but has anyone wondered.......where do we put the portrait when its not on the bust??

Its just a big heavy polystone head.....where are we going to put that?

actually no one knows what we are supposed to do with it if we are not displaying the portrait.

I've even caught myself toying with the idea of getting 2 normal versions instead since the exclusive would cost me $435 more anyway, another $800 and i could get 2!

You could buy two and sell the extra parts. Sounds preferable to shelling out that much for a stand. Although two busts does seem kind of like overkill...

BTW, $250 was removed by Sideshow today. Just another $1040 (w/shipping) to go

Anyone know if you can pre-pay for stuff from Sideshow? I didn't see the flexpay when I ordered, but honestly I'd rather just get him paid off early rather than sit on $1000 for the next 6mos to a year.

My CC charge is pending, but shows now. I hope it's an actual charge and not just like a permanent pre-auth, charges I can pay off, pre-auths will just sit there tying up funds but aren't technically taken out so I can't pay them off either.

I wish, you can try and call them about it but every time I had a Flex that I wanted to get over with and pay up they wouldn't accept the payment unless the piece was all ready in storage.

Mine is processing the charge, and usually that means the money is gone... not just being held.

With my account, pre-auths and pending charges look the same, like when I order from Toys2, there's an initial preauth period after placing the order where it looks like a pending charget then it goes away in a few days.

Some skilled customizer could make a killing by producing stands with compatible helmet jaws to rest the helmet on for a separate display.

I'm hoping that if Sideshow doesn't answer the call, that someone else will. I'd pay $$$ for something like that. Wonder how hard it would be to make a cast of the Sideshow neck piece?

Not holding out much hope that Sideshow will make the change to the stand, but it would be awesome if they did.

I would usually say the waitlist will be your friend... but my guess is there won't be many people willing to loose $250 for canceling.

So most likely once its gone, its really gone.

Yeah, I was looking at closed auctions for that helmet... not pretty. I was always interested in it, but being from the PT Vader I just couldn't justify the cost.

This bust is the Vader mask I always wanted, and waaaaay more

I hope that too, especially since I'm getting the regular. Even if I intend displaying the masked bust it would be cool to get a stand. I'm sure some fans will make a cast of even custom stands for these, just need to find out. Maybe we should ask on RPF when the busts are coming, I know the guys there are not the biggest fans of this bust, but they are talented.

The neck piece will be really important if displaying the helmet separately. It will look odd without the lower part.

Here ya go, except the SE would also come with signatures. There were 2 editions one with just Hayden and the other with him and James Earl Jones.

If I'm not mistaken, you can also wear this one... but of course you don't get any of the cool internal details like we're seeing with the Sideshow version.
