just ordered my from BBTS, little cheaper plus i live in CA and i will save alot on tax and no deposit

thanks for the heads up . went on there site lastnight and were sold out. saw your post and jumped on it

Looks like it's sold out again at BBTS

I purchased the exclusive through Sideshow, and I'm still glad I did. With the deposit, I have more committment to it, and the peace of mind of excellent customer service should I receive a damaged piece. Hopefully have more than half a year to start saving for it.

My guess is our delay prayers will be answered :lol

But I went through Sideshow for the same reason, hope there are no problems, but if there are I'd rather deal direct with them on something this pricey.

BBTS's customer service is no slouch either. :lecture

great pics josh thanks, can you confirmed to put the mask and the helmet in the same time with the head of sebastian Shaw?

I was told its a three piece deal that reveals Shaws head. If I understood correctly.

That would mean dome off, mask off, Shaw head on. If so, I'd like to know, and I assume, the Exclusive stand can hold the Shaw head when not in use or the Vader helmet pieces.

Seems to me that if the mask goes on over the head (like a true reveal) Sideshow would have taken a picture showing the faceplate from behind with the back of Shaw's head still visible (ala the partial reveal in Empire)... But they didn't.

Being what it likely is does not bode well for Sideshow making the reveal 1:6 ROTJ Vader.... Looks like it will likely be a similar scenario. :monkey2

I would disagree, as someone pointed out, given the price and quality and everything of this bust, going a route that keeps things in scale but doesn't run the risk of damage is best. I believe it was a tight fit for Shaw in Jedi, but because it was only to be on for a short time, it was ok, but on the bust, could be pieces of the interior mask rubbing on the Anakin head and people would be much more worried about scratching and scuffing the head given the investment in the piece.

With a figure, they could play a bit with size of the Anakin head to not have to worry about such a matter, plus figure production materials might be less prone to issues and people less bothered if they happen.

If a head gets paint marks or something on a $120 figure, it's livable, if it happens on a $1200 bust, it's a huge issue.

Also, people will scrutinize more if a $1200 bust has a less than 1:1 Anakin head more than a slightly smaller one, if needed, on a 1:6 figure, so it's important to make the 1:1 bust be true 1:1 size for Vader's mask and the Anakin head and to do that, a creative way to have the various display options is needed for the sake of the protection of the piece.

Like I said, I'm curious to know if the display stand can support either alternate piece you're not using on the bust, it'd look weird to have a floating Shaw head but at least it's somewhere safe instead of having to find a storage place to put it in. Assuming you can't leave the Shaw head on when the mask is on.

I'm still waiting to see how the stand works to decide on getting the exclusive or not. The difference for me with international shipping is $435!

Yeah, $50 domestic is one thing, but hundreds, I can't see ever wanting to spend that much extra for a display stand.
