I'd imagine it's possibly a bit better in person. Even if thoughtful and majestic why is he doing it while going down stairs (or up supposedly according to SS, though no idea how he goes up backwards). Also thoughtful and majestic aren't words that should apply to Vader. Dark, brooding, ruthless, etc. No EX though, it should be available for a while so you can wait. That new Iron Studios one though, man that looks epic.

Is iron studios any good ? That neat looking Spider-Man bombed I heard, that's all I know them for.

I think if the bottom 2 layers of the base were removed it would be a lot better.

Why would he watch the ship fly away, and why would he stick his thigh out like that? I feel like this is not a normal standing, watching, anything position :|

I dunno what happened with the iron studios Spider Man? All their 1/10th stuff so far have looked pretty great.

Other then the old SS 1/4th it is the only 1/4th Vader statue on the market. If you mean like statue that's for sale right now you're also probably right but I don't believe there are really that many others if any available? So yes, by dint of having no competition it is the best in those categories. If you mean of all time I'd have to disagree with you, there are plenty better including one done by SS.

In my opinion. the new PF is the best looking Vader yet produced by any company. I prefer it to the Mythos which was the front runner prior. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Found this on the other forum. Nothing beats it.

Love this piece. Sure has it's issues would have been great if they had built the complete stairs and not had the bottom portion

It's funny, I think it's typical SS. For many of my SS pieces, it starts off being "Holy cow, that's awesome! ", then turns into "Wait a sec... why did they do?... " Examples are: Stormtrooper PF, Snowtrooper PF, this PF Vader, Sandtrooper PF, Vader Mythos (I don't own, cause I still couldn't get past the orange paint), & others. However, after some time goes by, they grow on ya, & it turns into "Yeah, I like it "

This is a nice picture

I keep seeing a lot of photos which make the figure look weird, neck too long, or whatever the case, but this one is making me consider it at the discount...

A lot of people consider the original Attakus one the front runner, not the SS one. I actually prefer the diplomatic mission dio that SS did to the rest of their Vader statues.

For the owners of this, would you recommend it? I've heard some nitpick negative reviews regarding the pose, the plastic helmet, the cape, base, etc. but some photos I've seen, I do really like how it looks. There are of course some where it looks like he has an elongated neck and looks weird, but I was curious to whether or not people have been happy with it or were not happy but liked it after some time.

That is pretty much the ONLY position to display this piece. From any other angle, it doesn't look right.... and I still think his head should have been positioned to be either leveled or looking slightly downward. Not looking upward.

Check out the photo in Centurions post a couple above this, that'll give you most of what you need to know. I also posted a few pages back about this needing to be kind of a stand alone at eye level, versus in a cluster of other PFs or on a high shelf. In the right position, this is a fantastic piece. Not a lot of my other PFs could stand all by themselves, maybe the droids, but not much else feels this iconic. I dig it.
