I have the mythos already and not sure whether I should get this one. Need some pics asap.

Vader will probably be my last (new) Sideshow purchase, so it's a double edge sword wanting to get him asap or wanting him to be worked on so he's near dam perfect when he's finally released.

All hell will break loose if there are any inaccuracies or problems with the paint. :lol

Yeah, the Mythos is great BUT this one will be bigger & has a pretty cool feature base too so I'm thinking it'd be a worthy contender to rival the Mythos. :)

size matters.. and with the mixed media it should top the mythos for sure ... its juts so overdue to come out for full reveal.. I so hope they do not wait until May 4th ....means we have this guy in hand maybe July 2016 whats crazy

Agreed. I'm liking the base too. It appears to have lights. Add that to the lights on his chest, belt, and light saber, and you've got a piece that will have some presence on your shelf.

Later even probably. Fett isn't even set to release till End of 2015, it'll probably be pushed back. God knows when we'll see and then have Vader

It's the light up features that I'm interested in most, when I first started collecting lights didn't interest me but over time they've become more than a little curiousity to see how the statues look lit up..., I'm hoping there won't be too much mixed media though, polystone is easier to keep clean than fabric. :)

I know what you mean. It really doesn't take much. Consider using a Detolf from Ikea. They're the most cost effective.

A little dust or dirt never hurt Vader nor any of my other pieces.

Dust & dirt?!? :thud: OMG!!! Stress me out why don't you. lol :wink1: It's my civic duty to defend my collectibles from the evil forces of dust & dirt that nature seems determined to inflict upon me..., I am ever vigilant to their seductive power over me, many is the time I've caught myself thinking 'oh, there's not that much dust there, I'll clean it another day.' Laziness is it's main weapon & acceptance is another, we must make a stand though..., dust & dirt are a collectors enemy & must be prevented at all costs, take no prisoners & do not be tempted by the subtitles of acceptance, it's not ok to be having a grey looking Vader, he is black & should remain so!!!

P.S. I am perfectly sane, honest..., rant over! :)

Detolfs are too small, or rather you'll need 2 panels to fit one PF. And some PFs won't fit either, depending on the pose. Darth Malgus is a good example, he barely fits, and he isn't facing straight when he does, so it doesn't look as menacing as it's supposed to. This Vader, given the pose and all, probably won't fit in a detolf either.

Oh man this made me laugh Kev

Yea I am pretty bummed out I found about the Vader PF after ordering the Mythos, for my size matchups, I got to get the PF Vader. I may set up my Vader Mythos somewhere else. I hate having the 2 of everything, feel like I am wasting my money, but Vader I will make an acception

Well honestly, you can never have too much Vader. He could be the mascot for SW, if he isn't already one.

One of the great things about SW - so many characters could be "mascots." Droids, Luke/Leia, Han/Chewie, a single stormtrooper, Fett . . . the list goes on.

Mm yea, but even George Lucas was quoted as saying SW was all about the fall of Anakin Skywalker, so it'd kinda make sense to have him as a mascot per se.

Not disagreeing with you on the rest though, I just feel Vader is more pronounced than others if you look at it from that point of view.

Is this the same George Lucas that said, "I am very concerned about our national heritage, and I am very concerned that the films that I watched when I was young and the films that I watched throughout my life are preserved, so that my children can see them." :monkey3

Oh yes that is true, glad he wont be out for another year, defiantly getting the PF. Looking forward to what he looks like at comic con in July, if sideshow show us
