Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

My problem with Origins begins and ends with the developers making stupid choices and not realizing what they had. In my playthroughs, I experienced two, potentially, game breaking glitches. One halfway through my New Game Plus playthrough, and one at the very end of my I Am The Night playthrough. What pissed me off so much is that I agree with everyone here on a lot of stuff. I loved the story, the performances were pretty good, and the gameplay was about what you'd expect from an Arkham game, so, it was servicable. As far as "cash grabs" go, this actually seemed to be a genuinely good game in a lot of respects, but they totally killed it, in my estimation, when they gave up on it, and blatantly stated that "we won't be patching any more glitches as we need to concentrate our efforts on making DLC."

I already hated that they screwed up my Platinum system with those stupid multiplayer trophies for that ******, tacked-on MP mode, but that was the point where I said "**** this game. If they don't care, why should I?"

I'm excited for him personally, I just think his attitude is much more in line with the comics vs Ledger.

Makes me wonder how much of the "comics" you have read....

My greatest fear with this movie. I personally hate that Smith was cast as Deadshot.

Pinpoint Deadshot accuracy my friend........They will all end up being hero's......which is dumb.

You know Will is going to end up a hero figure......no way his handlers will let him be portrayed as a really bad guy.....

Is there any opening night or IMAX exclusive goodies (posters) for this? They had Force Awakens and Civil War posters on Sundays for IMAX.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Yeah, don't get why that rumour almost became fact. :lol

Because of the picture of the robin suit with the punture holes in the shoulders. And the first joker pictures showing the joker with shoulder scars

I think Regal has a little Pop! keychain of Leto for the first people to see the movie in 3D.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Nah, compared to the Zimmer MOS and BVS scores it's an incredible backstep. Incredibly generic, you mention avengers, well that's the problem, it sounds like the insta-forget Marvel scores. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with it, just that it's dull and uninspired.
I expected something really exciting for this. It demands a cool Junkie XL or modern music hybrid. Tron legacy, Oblivion, Mad Max, Stranger Things...even BVS?

In fact listening to it makes me think they are misleading us with their trailers so far.
It is tonally not what I was expecting from the movie.

From the trailers and general tone displayed I was expecting some sort of Dust Brothers fight club-esque sound.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

hmm really ? I figured it would mostly be songs played over the action scenes and what not. Really find the marvel scores utterly boring so that's dissapointing

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

People didn't like Leto's Joker so they wanted him to be a former Robin so that the "real" Joker could appear in other movies I guess.

Bingo. Lol, any excuse so they could explain away Joker's new look. Not all people who believed that rumor were like that, but a LOT of them were. I prefer no tattoos and no shoddily fixed broken teeth like most people, but as long as the character is brought to life that's what really matters. And just like how Affleck is the best on screen Bats/Bruce for me, everything I've seen from Leto already has him as my favorite on screen Joker. Though no one will ever replace Hamill as the definitive Joker imo.

For some reason people want stuff 100% exactly like it was in the comics, but the DC films are in their own collective universe. I'm excited to see what's new and different. What can they do with these characters that I haven't read before? How they can take inspirations from certain stories/arcs and have film makers make it their own? Not to mention, what works in a monthly comic series may not work in a film. It's not as simple as doing a shot by shot recreation on screen. Films are a completely different beast than a comicbook. Not that one is better or worse than the other at telling stories, just that they are VASTLY different in terms of how they do it.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

When is that Skrillex & Rick Ross - Purple Lamborghini video supposed to drop? It was supposed to be released ages ago.

There was a teaser released a week ago. I saw no Joker in that video clip. Too bad it's one of the most obnoxious songs I have ever heard.

Yeah I saw the teaser but still no word on when the full video will be released. I personally really like the song because I'm a Rick Ross fan :lol
