Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I played the first one a while back, but I never finished it. Though I would like to see a movie. Thing is, it's so damn 90s that it'd be a difficult sell with both critics and audiences.
Not at all, the games, especially the first one, grounded perfectly, there's no 90's fat in the first one, it's pretty much a gangster with a bounty on his head story, and early on he gets his powers.

Really, zero 90's dialogue in either games.

Saw it a 5th time today...it's a masterpiece. But that's as an Ayer fan. I can see why some people are off on it, but I think it does an amazing job. I'll probably post that review later.

5 times? :thud: And they give me a hard time for seeing it 3 times :lol

Five times?!! Are you and Blueberry J having a Skwad off? I would like to go and see it for a second time if I can get round to it.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

While I don't think TDK trilogy is the end all be all of comic book movies I do agree that almost everything since then I haven't been able to enjoy as much due how well his movies turned out. To me, it's not the Nolan thing though, I'm finding that most superhero movies from decades ago were just a lot more original, better looking, and a lot more ambitious while also trying to cater to the comic book crowd. But with Marvel, they're really catering to the comic book crowd and a younger demographic, they're not interested in making great movies like Raimi, Singer, Burton, Nolan, and Donner did.

That Spawn movie is never getting made, I've been waiting like 15 years for it [emoji38]

Supposedly Jaime Foxx has already been casted as Al Simmons.

I like what Nolan did story be the main driver and then overlay that with the super hero element .

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

In terms of coolness factor, DCEU SHOULD have been better with their first 3, but I still find MCU's first three to be better. That being sad BvS wasn't as bad as was originally made out to be. Just was poor storytelling and lack of patience by WB.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Damn Doc, 5 times!? I'll be seeing at least 3. I think the movie I've seen most in theaters was Two Towers, at least 15 times. :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Yeah would easily take the first dceu movies over the first mcu movies any day, even as mush a I love the first iron man. Although to be honest I never even took the packaging off of iron man and ive had it since it first came out.

And Im definitely going to get around to seeing Squad again sometime soon...pretty much every single person I know wants to see it. It's definitely the talk of the town.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I'm sorry but why would you see a movie that many times in theater? Not hating but cannot grasp that concept at all. Do you have time for your family?

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

This Movie has me like some kind of addiction, I need to see it again.

Got this cover copy out on display next to my Croc statue.

The tell will be sequel announcements. They just now announced the Man of Steel sequel despite the kind words about it from WB brass. If the studio is happy then we'll see it soon.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

You're using the quote "rip apart" ....but I never said that, not even once. They picked apart the film...like they do with all their reviews. That doesn't mean in a bad way. They pick apart by going through everything from cinematography to plot to editing. They pick apart everything and talk about it, good or bad. I never said that every review they do they rip it to shreds. Most people I know who watch RLM is because how much more they talk go in depth than other reviews. How much more they pick it apart than general reviews/bloggers do, whether it's good or bad.

All of their complaints are things most critics agree with.
Every single thing.
You are making it sound like they are overanalyzing the movie and nitpicking. But i dont think they are since so many others have said the same thing.

They have said things people in here have said.

The guy who plays Rick Flagg said in some interview that getting that SS tattoo on his arm was a mistake :lol

Yea re reading my post makes its seem like I don't think TDK trilogy is as great as I do think it is. To me TDK is by far the best superhero movie and I really can't see anything surpassing it. As a trilogy its one of the greatest ever, but I do think Raimi, Singer, Burton, and Donner made brilliant movies featuring superheroes as well. These days we're lucky just to get a good comic book movie.

Got a nice theatre, cool hookups, solid deals. I am a single student, with all family outside of the state. :lol

My parents actually tag along if I'm paying. :horror::lol
I can just imagine your local theater last August.

"Hey Al, 'that guy' is here to see Fantastic Four again..."

"What the hell man, what the hell..."

;)

Fox needs to send me a medal for that!:mad::lol
