Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Watched my second viewing today....overall still enjoyed Harley's shorts eeeer the movie. I still didn't understand the super weapon the witch was building, why the dumb dance and why it took so long to implement......it looked the same when she started versus when she used it. I suppose it was ready along time ago she needed the colored gal to give her locations of all the sites to hit. Basically the villian being my only gripe.....Smith being Smith still played out well....I enjoyed Leto.....Harley was hawt......everyone else serviceable.....

Oh :lol go ahead, I've known the plot since months back and I don't care about spoilers, haven't seen it yet, but don't mind me.

Thanks for asking, what a well mannered hunka hunka.

I think you'll like it, just don't expect to be blown away by SS. It has bad moments and good moments, and contrary to pturtle's campaign the movie is not a turd or trainwreck. However I'm not inspired with newfound confidence in the DCEU either. Margot really is great as Harley, it's the dialogue that fails her at times and same can be said for Will Smith. I'm not a fan of Leto Joker, and his nothing to do with his look. He doesn't scare me, he didn't make me laugh, and he didn't come across as the unpredictable wild card either so in my eyes that equals Joker fail. I think i liked him most when he didn't talk. There's a scene when he exists the back of a van and he has this look on his face that is awesome. I see that guy as a crime boss. The other scenes he's just a weirdo. I wonder if there was a drug use scene that got cut out, or maybe we're supposed to assume that years of electro shock therapy have taken their toll on Mista J:dunno

I think my biggest problem with SS is that they went PG-13 instead of for the R. I think Agents of Shield is actually more violent than this movie.

Well, it did have the head pop.

But it could've used more violence.

I will never forget the needle under the nail scene from Agents of Shield.

I can only dream of what this movie would have been if Tarantino wrote and directed it, without studio interference of course.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

bla bla bla

It's really weird you keep going back and using this exact phrase.

Weird because not only did SS review better with both critics and audience scores, it also made over 3 times the box office that F4 did.

F4 budget - $120 million
Domestic BO - $56 million
Total WW BO - $167 million

SS budget - $175 million
Domestic BO - $265 million
Total WW BO - $577 million

So when you say "train wreck like F4"...I have no idea what you're talking about.
