less well know characters

Sideshow is going to be spending the next 2 years trying to get 20,000 Batman and Superman premium formats to the U.S. They aren't going to have any time or resources left to produce lesser known characters.

I'm thinking only in terms of the Ex since that is always the first to go. Batman Ex is 2000. If Superman Ex were "selling like crazy" and still hasn't sold out yet that could only mean SS made more than 2000! I just don't know how mad they would have gone with it. BUT I don't believe Superman Ex is selling like crazy. I BELIEVE the Ex portrait has caused many to go for the reg instead.

Quite a few recent PFs have had an ES on the exclusive but the reg is open edition. Maybe this is their new business plan, who knows...?

I actually like that approach. Let the ES freaks jump on the EX and the rest can budget and take their time to order later.

Hey Spidey, your eyes are too far apart! :lol :wink1:

Yeah I can't understand what the ES is for this now? I'm guessing 7500 Ex's & an OE for the Reg :lol

If you are right this place will EXPLODE!!!:rotfl

I could be wrong, but I think we are going to find out that the ES on the Ex is 2500 if not 3000. This is an awesome statue, and people have been buying the Ex even if they aren't sure about it. We will see how I goes I guess.

Batman Ex sold out in 4 days? With an Ex of 2000. If your prediction is correct then a Superman that's selling like crazy should have sold out by now at 2500-3000 Ex if my math estimates is correct.

TBD = to be determined. Which means they will base the edition size of the Ex off the number of orders placed right? So SS hasn't even determined an edition size for the Ex at this point!

they have a number in mind, which apparently has not been reached yet.

I think the tbd is used to see if their estimation is on the low side (and they don't get flack for pulling another talon).

Which makes me wonder is that number equivalent to Bats or is it more? Still unknown why it's taking longer for Sups Ex to sell out. Larger ed size for the Ex or people disliking the heat vision portrait OR something I haven't thought of!?

It was pointed out that Bats had a lot of hype because of SDCC, and the pics that were coming out from there. Won't lie. Am TOTALLY surprised he is still around. I want lie ans say that I don't agree with everything you have said, though I do tend to lean towards the MONSTER ES side.

I sure hope not because I like to collect things that are limited. Hopefully it's not too big an edition size! :panic:

Meh. You freaks are all obsessed with numbers, this is like amateur hour on an accounting forum.

Can't see the wood for the trees and all that.

Also during comic con people had no idea Sideshow was going to make 2000 ex and 7500 reg Batman. Now people expect Superman to be similar to that es size.

I don't get it.

What's your point?

I still don't get the whole point of only collecting "limited" stuff. Is it so you can say to everyone else "na na na na, I have one and you don't"?
