Please give us a variant Jim lee style or younger looking head SS we still want a variant younger superman head and not just a super old man looking head. We don't want super boy but a superman like the one from the jim lee style comics which sold very well.

Sure a variant head is fine by me, of course if that's what you like, but I REALLY like the one they've already done and I wouldn't change a thing on this PF. A COH is fine for those who want it but I like it the way it is. Perfect PF IMO. Everything about it is great. Even the base has grown on me.

The problem is Jim Lee's style might not translate as well into 3d format as Alex Ross's has. Also it's not as iconic.

The Batman PF is way cooler. The base and the body sculpt are far superior. I hope the base lights-up because that would at least give it a reason for looking so bad. Hopefully they add some detail.

I have to disagree on the body sculpt being superior. From what I have seen, Superman's proportions and overall aesthetic are superior. Batman's waaaaay too bulky, almost Frank Miller style which I think is one of their inspirations for it. Sure Batman has cool musculature but Superman is the epitome of the Grecian-ideal, looks like something sculpted by Michelangelo. But yeah Batman's base is alot more dynamic than Supes.

True, I do think it's better than when I first saw it. I do like it more every time I see it. But it would be nice to get 2 different style heads so we can have a choice.

The figure will come with two head sculpts. “He’ll have one staring-into-the-distance portrait,” Andy explains. “The other one will be looking down, like in the Anka print, with very stern eyes, like he’s getting ready to light something up with his heat vision. ~Andy Bergholtz

LMAO. Agreed! And on that note kids, I'm off to bed. Here's hoping we get to pre-order Supes for Spook or sometime soon after that. Can't wait to have this PF in my collection.

I wouldn't be shocked if superman soldout in less time than batman did

I think it's safe to assume there will be an EX. Why wouldn't there be? I fully expect an EX. What we get is anyone's guess.

Im not gonna wait a second, whatever comes out first im hitting the buy button. If an EX presale comes after (which i doubt it will) I am willing to loose my deposit for an EX, thats my game plan.

True dat.. Also from what i heard there are 2 versions which indicates a strong possibility an EX PF. the (obvious) version: him looking in the distance, and one of him looking down. and quite possibly the one with him looking down can be the EX.

I hope not. I hope the EX is something else as both the EX and reg should both come with 2 head sculpts as I believe they will.

That would be killer!! The Light up eyes its a no brainer but it will def mean more work to make it happen

You know, comments like this make your post irrelevant.

Back on topic - Jim Lee's style would be a nice alternative, especially if the 2nd portrait is of a younger Superman. It has been done in action figure form, and translates into 3D just fine.
Would love to have this as the exclusive, or just the 2nd :

The Alex Ross version is a great artistic interpretation. It definitely does not suck. There are other interpretations I prefer, though, because they are more classic. Jim Lee's work is nice, as I really liked his X Men work, but I do not believe he captures the iconic look of Superman.
