This is what I'm thinking about doing with the EX eyes.

What is different, the heat vision pupils painted in?

So I asked for a replacement, sideshow said they couldn't guarantee me a body that is in better condition. They offered me either a $30 credit or to return it for a refund. I emailed back with my thoughts and then offered me a $40 credit or a return for a refund. So when i told them i wanted a refund they sent me a letter stating they're going to "investigate" it further.

Another email.... "Thank you so much for your patience. One of our affiliates is interesting to collecting your Superman Premium Format Statue. However, because they are not in your local area, they need to know if you would be willing to take the statue to a courier drop off location. If you are willing to do this please let me know so we can continue with the process of your return and refund."

I told them that I'm 3 hours away from the closest courier drop off location...

Another email..."Thank you very much for your response. We are currently investigating the best way to return your piece internationally"

Then a phone call from Daniel Campisi he told me i was right, i am too far from a courier to send to an affiiate, and informed me that it would cost them too much for me to send it back, and gave me 2 options $60 credit or destroy the statue for a refund.

Now does this make sense? I think it would have been best for them just to replace the body, nope instead they'll lose a whole statue and $400 in a refund.

I know it's a minor flaw but when i pay that kind of money i want it perfect. $60 in credit means nothing to me. I know a lot of people are still waiting for their sups and i hate to destroy it, but sideshow is leaving me little choice. Only other thing is to take the credit and sell the statue. I have a couple of days to decide...

Dude, take the $60 and just sell it down the line. You will get ur money back and then some...

Exactly! That is a really minor defect. Easily fixable IMO and $60 is more than a fair offer. I have seen some questionable stuff get replaced in the past and THATS why they run out if replacements. Line has to be drawn somewhere. It's also cheaper to have an international customer destroy it, they are not losing $400, they can put that number on a blank and sell to someone else.

If it were me, I'd take the $60 and either use a dab of fabric glue or have 1 stitch at literally ANY seamstress put in and never think of it again.

Trust me I know what you mean about running out of replacements, I've been on the other side. Ill probably sell it. Hate to destroy an almost perfect statue knowing that a lot of people got f'ed with the statue not being shipped on time.

I have started a lot of "gates" but I don't hate on SSC and act like they have done me wrong. It's not like people are not going to get their Superman Pfs. They are coming. Someone had to get the first batch.

As far as eyebrow gate (I assume you are talking about the Hulk) Well there is also a difference in Just having to wait for your "perfect looking PF" to arrive and waiting to get you statue that looks to be messed up (judging by all the in hand photos). While Hulks Brow was not as bad in person I still wish we got what the proto looked like. So I still stand by my complaining :)

I would also say it's fair to say that I don't go into RAGE mode. I might complain "endlessly" :) but I am usually a tad more constructive then just flat out *****ing.

I don't rotate the cape. I just put it around the narrowest part of the neck and the move it down into place.

I'm sure the things you complain about are much more enlightened then the things others do :dunno

I'm curious why people think that pre-ordering statues is so very different then ordering anything else in life? If you are eating at a restaurant and place your order and while you have been waiting for that order, you see many other people who walked into the restaurant well after you get their food while your still waiting; do you just accept it, or ask the waiter whats going on with your order? When you reserve your newest Iphone as soon as its available for presale, are you ok with walking it to pick it up on release day only to find out they gave the one you reserved away to someone who simply walked in and bought one? Why do people even bother to wait in lines if everyone will "get theirs" eventually? People are used to things being sold/shipped in the order they reserve/buy them. Its not that much of a stretch for people to wonder what is going on when it appears others are getting priority over them. It certainly doesn't hurt to ask questions and try to figure out if this will become a precedent.

PS - I just went back and looked at Eyebrow gate.... I did not even really complain in that thread.... I was just a worry wart.

In fact I think this "JAWS is always Negative" stuff some of you think is BS (I am looking at you Spidey ;) ). You guys almost had me believing it.

I complained about the Ex eyes on Superman... But praised everything else. Ended up liking the Ex eyes more then I thought I would. But yes I still don't love them 100%

I complained about the Batman Pose.. But said that the good outweighed the Bad... I still stand by that. I also hated the pits... Fixed mine. Just not as drastically as many. But that was an issue most had.

I HATE the CR Superman.

I seem to be most "critical" with DC.... Go to the other threads and read my reviews... I am always happy about SSC products :)

To Hell with all you who say I am Negative ;) ;) :)

Didn't you find a few things wrong with the Superman Ex when it arrived as well?

I was worried about how the cut of the shorts looked... But I did not "freak" or anything. Just made an observation and asked if it was adjustable. That was it. Otherwise I was impressed with how it looked in pics. After recieving mine I gave it nothing but praise with the exception being that while I thougnt the Heat vision looked good I still wish it had just regular ol plain eyes. :)

As far as being more "enlightend" I just think it's strange to get so upset (or should I say angry) over having to wait just a bit longer for a statue. My complaints/worries are about a final product that may have flaws. Flaws that are there for life. Not flaws that will fix themselves in a month or two like a late delivery. :) Plus if you read my post you will see that they are not anger filled rants.

I get what you are saying about waiting for a food order but that is not really the same at all. The delayed food order takes up personal time. Time that may be important then and now. I might have to be somewhere like work or I just might be really hungry and thus turn into Joe Pesci :). But it's more about my time being wasted sitting at a table. :(. However my life goes on just fine with an empty space on my shelf :) Thats all. I think everyone just needs to take a deep breath, express your disapointment and not get so angry.

JAWS, I don't think I have ever expressed anger about having to wait. I'm fine with waiting. My concern is about my personal FINAL PRODUCT, and whether being in a later batch means that I'm out of luck if mine arrives damaged. Does that make my concern legit? :dunno

I also think it would be nice to know if flex pay customers will have precedent on future orders as well, or if this is a one time thing. Again, not because I am angry, but because it may influence how I pay for my items in the future.

I get that SS just doesn't have the capacity to ship 2500 Supermans, or 2000 batmans, or 3500 Wonder Womans (I presume) all at once. That doesn't bother me. All I want is an equal shot at a mint statue in the event there are damage or QC issues with my order.

Brother I hope and am confident that you will get a great statue with zero problems. My worst fear was the flames coming in broken and shattered but you won't have that problem. I cant wait to see your pic man. I think Jaws also means like some of the more not so calm boardies that are turning this into a real "Batchgate 2k14" (credit: Irvy)

Bmutha... Pretty much what Jedi said. I well thought out concern or expression of dissapointment is understadable. There are some who are just a bit over the top. I believe there were some posters who thought that SSC should give extra freebies to the non first batch owners.

All of you know that I support peoples right to complain. But going into Rage mode over not getting this first seems over the top. Again if it's cause you are worried about replacements, I get that. If it's just because you want it now... I guess I just cant relate to that.

Also Bmutha I think there will be replacements for you. Since SSC made a billion of them. I think you will be OK. Add that to the fact that other then one belt string problem and one broken cape (which may have been the owners mistake) this thing has been flaw free.

I don't care if SS wants to ship flex payers their statues first or not....

And where did you get the idea from my post that I felt that "SS should have kept us flexers waiting few more months while also having our money"? I have stated on couple of occasions that it is to SS benefit to encourage flex payers...SS essentially receives interest free loans from their customers. SS can use your money to cover working capital cost, invest and earn a rate of return, pay down debt, etc... What manufacturer would not want to receive payment in advance of providing product to customers??

My other point was if SS has now adopted a policy that flexers get preferential shipping, I would hope they would tell their customers so they can make an informed purchasing decisions. If this was a one time occurrence...that's fine...it's not the end of the world. At the end of the day, this is simply a topic to discuss to pass the time until the rest of us receive our statues.

My point was we've all put down our NRDs. But Flex payers have paid on full. (April 10th being the date of fulfillment) PiF have yet to be charged for the product. To me, I think flex payers should get priority. If anyone should really get upset for delays it's those of us that have put down 80-90% before the product is in the warehouse. It'd be nice if SS had some flex pay, full pay priority, or fulfillment according to time of order. Flex payers are paying every Thursday it's hard to not take the full amount and not fulfill the order. I think there's laws that regulate not being able to charge or take full payments without shipping item within a few days of payment. I've also received my products later then most because I've chosen the end of the month to flex pay when the statue comes out the at the beginning.
I'm paying SS either way it doesn't bother me if they're gaining interest on those payments or not. Course SS is a company I fully support. If they keep making awesome stuff I want them to stay open.
I apologize if I misread what you were stating. It wasn't my intention to create some conflict. I still think the anger of all this is due to lack of communication on SideShow's part as to when Supes was going to actually be available.
Tray you'll love it when he does arrive though, well worth the wait. :)

JC, there are many like myself that if a full pay option were available I would do it. I choose to pay in full because I can do it day one. Either way I'm not upset at anyone. As long as mine comes and is great shape I'm happy. If I can't get any replacements because I get mine late Sups will go back for a full refund. I'm not going to play SS credit games.

Poppycock, Flex Payers MADE the decision to flex pay because they don't have the discipline to put the money aside to pay in full when the time comes. It's why SS made the option available. For that reason alone I don't think flex payers should get any preferential treatment, from what I've seen so far this is a one time deal where they gave flex payers their statues first. Will see what happens in the future...
