Well the only problem I have there is that there are new collectors out there who may have just discovered SS. So it really wasn't a matter of sleeping. It wasn't like they knew about the Supes PF and didn't PO. That would be a snooze and loose. It's unfortunate that more can't enjoy him but in the end ES is ES.

True, they could have done an open ES on the Reg but of course certain collectors would have an aneurysm if that happened.

Probably, I mean having to constantly keep stock and always ordering another batch would probably be a pain, but if you were going to do it you'd think the Reg. superman and batman would have been the ones to do it on.

Well I suppose. I like that these collectibles have some desirability to them in that there is a beginning and end to the run. I even feel that way with the reg. I mean I have never stumbled upon something that was sold out and said darn my luck, they should have waited to close the books until I placed my order. Nope, I didn't feel sorry for myself, I just started hunting for one like a hound dog until I found it. Even with the ES set you should be able to find one in the secondary market if your patient. Maybe not the EX but certainly a Reg.

Spoke to sideshow about it today, those are false rumors.

I was told it is sold out.

So why have a waitlist? Doesn't make sense. I emailed SS on Friday and asked if my waitlist reservation for the Hulk Maquette had a shot and was told that if I'm on the waitlist, I have a shot. Why would the Supes PF waitlist be any different?

The EX seems more available. I suspect flippers are more likely to buy the EX and throw it up on eBay for $899.

Sometimes the waitlist lingers. One day you'll get an cancellation email and the product page will be history/ archived.

By having an open ES they also block themselves from future iterations of that character. Think about how many less would sell of a statue if the original was still available rather then me explain just extrapolate it in you mind. With that said an open ES to never pay flipper prices... ever, that would be fantastic on any piece.

Batman premium format back up for preorder. December 2016-January 2017 release. I missed out on that one because Preordered modern age bats. May have to pick him up this time.

I just paid $550 for one at a local comic shop, which is kind of a bummer, but I'm happy to have it now rather than a year or more down the road. Makes you wonder about the Supes PF, though, if Bats wasn't sold out.

Pf bats was listed as sold out. Funny it is back up again. Sucks you paid 550.00, but like you said, you don't have to wait a year. Glad I got superman pf, awesome piece. Prices on eBay for bats should drop now since he is back up for preorder. Surprised he is over a year away.

My timing is amazingly bad. I literally picked him up 5 days ago, and now he's up for preorder. Glad to have him, but don't want to make the same mistake with Supes. If he's truly sold out, as savageHULK was told, I wish they'd let everyone on the waitlist know.

The people who answer the phones at Sideshow don't always have accurate information.
