Have been away from this thread for a long while - looks like lots of people are having issues with these figures breaking? How widespread is this problem? Did DC Collectible use some special type of material? Is the plastic thinner than normal?

I saw series 1 at a lcs for $25 each. They look pretty cool. I actually own all the original figures MOC. I just ordered Batman on amazon. Still debating if I should buy every figure or certain ones.

I opened my Freeze and Two-Face today, and they're great figures, but this has to be the worst experience in the history of collecting, for everyone (maybe not that bad, but still). Even if you do get good figures (which I'm not saying, because I'm a superstitious fool who doesn't want his luck to change), you can't really enjoy them because you're paranoid that something will go wrong. So far, though, the only things worth noting, for me, at least, are that the hinges on a couple of Batman's alternate hands won't move (and I don't care nearly enough to risk breaking them), and his waist joint above his belt is impossible to move (which, again, I can do without if it means having an otherwise great figure). Those seem to be my only real issues with the TNBA figures, which seems very welcome in comparison to some of the horror stories I've seen. It's Catwoman that I hate, though. Her left knee is so wobbly and loose, and, in any other instance, I wouldn't mind, but, as I said before when I mentioned it, there've been so many horror stories that I feel like I'm just waiting for it to fall off.

I cannot wait for the future waves. Hopefully, they live up to their promises to use better plastic and we no longer have to worry about this stuff, but, for now, I'm just happy that I didn't pay full price for these.

I HATE how stiff my Catwoman's arms and elbows are. They might as well have just made her with the articulation the Kenner Animated Catwoman had. It's retro but i had it for 20 years and it never broke >_<

...and they're letting people vote on who they'd like to see next. What's interesting is that two of the choices are Batman and Carrie Kelly from The Dark Knight Returns. I don't know if they're referring to the animated feature film last year or the TNBA episode in which they appeared.

He's pretty cool, but I don't really see the design at work there. It seems like it could be, but that it all depends on the lighting. The deep crevices and such indicate that they've thought about the effect of shadow in that interpretation.

In the TV show, he's face is always under shadows, almost not seen... And here it's completely illuminated...

Weird... Thank God I don't like TNBA, cuz I'd be completely disappointed...

Scarecrow looks awesome! Can't wait to see who else is in series 5.

As for the vote, I'm voting for The Ventriloquist! I'd really love to see the DCC version of him, especially since the Kenner version wasn't that great.

A Two-Face would be awesome. Particularly if they included an alternate "hooded" head. I'd say he's probably my most wanted after TAS Freeze and TAS Clayface. I'm seriously hoping they announce that they'll be doing vehicles this week. One that I'm surprised wasn't on the list was TNBA Nightwing. I'm wondering if, perhaps, he won't be one of the other three to be announced this week. I'm also curious if Roxy Rocket counts as part of the regular wave, or if her Deluxe Nature makes her more of a specialty.

I REALLY want to collect these. But the breaking is an issue. I'd buy through a local retailer, so I don't I'd be entitled to a replacement via DCC.
