Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Id like a Summer Gleason figure along with Bullock and Montoya and Gordon and Dr. Thomkins who I felt were peripheral to the show

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Bloody stupid that they're staggering the line like this. Why not just release waves of 6 like Funko's Game of Thrones line?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I hope a Superman TAMS line is not too far off

I prefer the TNBA Mad Hatter.

Interesting to see the similarity to Batman Returns in the BTAS Penguin, and the the similarity to Batman Forever in the TNBA Riddler.

I like TNBA Mad Hatter as well. I believe they were going for a "Clockwork Orange" look when they re-designed The Riddler. That, like the design concept of The Joker's "Shark" Eyes, where great design ideas that didn't transfer to animation as well.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'm going to feel bad cherry picking just the BTAS stuff from this line because I want it to go the distance!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

It's not your fault. It's DCC fault. :lol They should've started the line with BTAS, it's common sense...or at least make two BTAS and two BTNA figures in the first wave. This is all Bruce Timm's fault :lol

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Lets at least the next wave is two of each...

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

It's so weird that I can't even begin to guess what's gonna be in the second wave!

The universe is so vast and iconic that It's hard to narrow down the heavy hitters, I have no idea what the split between BTAS and TNBA will be, excluding bats (I'm assume he's a given) will we see both takes on character? etc

So much is up in the air, needless to say I'm very excited though!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Oh.. they need to release the classic Batman and Joker in the next wave, just in case the whole line bombs and fails. I doubt it, but you never know, especially if people don't buy TNBA figures because they're waiting for the originals.

Yeah you're probably right. So BTAS Batman, BTAS Joker, TNBA Harley or Ivy (probably Harley as it will sell well with Mr J) and another TNBA Male for Wave 2?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Actually wave 2 will have 3 Animated series figures and 1 New Adventure figure. Which would make them an even 4 and 4 by the end of wave 2.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wave 1:
TNBA Batman
BTAS Catwoman
TNBA Mr. Freeze
TNBA Two-Face

Wave 2:
BTAS Batman
TNBA Catwoman
BTAS Mr. Freeze
BTAS Two-Face

:monkey5

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

This is how I would do it....I guess.

Wave 1 TNBA (batman, two face, freeze) and TNBA( Catwoman)

Wave 2 BTAS (batman, joker, harley) TNBA (Robin)

Wave 3 TNBA (penguin, ridler, bat girl) BTAS (Freeze)

Wave 4 BTAS (robin, two face, poison ivy) BTNA (catwman)

Wave 5 TNBA (Nightwing, bane, joker) BTNA (clayface)

Wave 6 BTAS (Scarecrow, batgirl, ridler) BTNA (mad hatter)

Wave 7 BTNA (scarecrow, ventriloquis, poison ivy) BTNA (penguin)

Wave 8 BTAS(manbat, bane, killer croc) BTNA (Babydoll)

Wave 9 BTAS (Phantasm, mad hatter, robot batman) BTNA (killer croc)

Wave 10 (Gordon, Bruce Wayne, Alfred and ras al ghul) :lol

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I think the waves will entirely depend on how many characters they release in both looks, key will be striking a balance between pleasing both sets of fans but not swamping the pegs with redos (mainly of TNBA stuff as it seems BTAS is more popular). I think with this in mind we might only see the one two face, at least for a while

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I like that they're going to alternate between the two. Personally, though, I'd love to see some box sets. Imagine an SDCC Exclusive Mask of The Phantasm set with Battle Damaged Batman, Joker with his Jet Pack, and a Phantasm with alternate head, or, maybe, a limited edition "Christmas with the Joker" set around the holidays with Joker in his sweater (along with a switch out "laughy" hand) and static Summer, Gordon, and Bullock figures.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Everybody says Two-Face, but am I the only one who wants a Harvey Dent from TAS out of this line? He was pretty integral to the arc of Bruce Wayne on the show.
