Well that's to be expected. I still remember the school year after ROTJ more people were talking about stuff like Christine, Cujo, Dead Zone and all that than Star Wars. It's always "cooler" to talk about the hard core stuff when you're a kid.

Yeah, because kids desperately want to be "adults"... even though they have no idea what that means.

And adults desperately want to be kids again... even though they forget exactly what that means.

A bunch of costumed super-soldiers fighting a space raisin can be enjoyable if done correctly, but ultimately that's it. There's nothing to discuss or analyze.

While the studio sending out screeners doesn't mean a whole lot (you get a lot of multiplex crap as screeners too) I think this movie might surprise with Oscar noms. It does have the identity politics strikes against it, but the academy loves a BO hit that can be considered art.

I love it. All the different Joker and Batman stories can be canon/real depending on his mood. He can see himself as Romero or Ledger. Even the other stories involving other villans can be part if his imagination. That's brilliant.

Well to be fair to Protoker it isn?t lacking in the $100 bills department either.

But for the life of me I just don?t understand why anyone would celebrate this Joker hallucinating story angle.

I can?t stand that hallucinated crap lol

Imagine if the Sequel Trilogy hallucinated the rebel victory against the empire that would just be god awfu.......

Honestly if EG hadn't just done it I can't imagine too many people being upset if the plot of TROS involved the heroes reversing the events entirely due to time travel. They could have just had it some Force power like what Kitty Pryde did in DOFP. Would that have been something I would have wanted to see play out prior to the ST? No. But it would have been a way to win fans back if they saw an in-universe retcon play out with Han, Luke, and Leia's tragic ends undone and everyone hugging and celebrating again.
