OMG, this times 1,000.

ET is the perfect example, like Avatar, of a hugely popular movie that very quickly had very little re-play value. Both are basically unwatchable today.

I'm guessing that like with jye E.T. never meant anything to you then. I loved it when it came out and still do today.

All I know is that I saw Road Warrior opening weekend.

I always question why god had to me make such a cool bad ass.

He wrote several books about his involvement with the Nazi UFO program.

When I revisited Gremlins last year I also revisited ET and while I couldn?t get onboard with either one I did think ET > Gremlins.

I felt so dirty not liking ET though I had to drink my sorrows away.

I prefer Gremlins. Phoebe Cates was hot, Gizmo is cute, likes Rambo too. And it's a Christmas movie.

I disliked ET in 1982 and dislike it to this day, maybe more now with Drew in hindsight in your mind as you're watching it. Seeing JJ emulate it in Super 8 was a cloyfest without equal.

That being said, I got major warm fuzzies seeing all-growed-up Henry Thomas hugging ET. Don't know what the hell that was about. Considering it was basically a TMZ "'Memba this celeb from the past?" moment.

I saw E.T. once in the theatre, as a kid. I?ve never actually seen it since. Never really had the urge...

I love it when it first came out. Same with Avatar. Couldn't sit thru either on 2nd viewing though.

Corn is not easily digestible. That's why you see it in your stool.

I was sooo much into horror-gore-slasher-monster movies and Fangoria when ET came out that I acted very snobbish towards its success and balked at the embarrassing box office failure of Thing lol
