You actually have two great stories with Batman Vs Superman (the Dark Knight returns) and Doomsday vs Superman (The Death of Superman), they should of been two completely different movies but Snider decided to cram them into the same movie.....

And not to mention the Dark Knight Returns and the Death of Superman story arcs are totally unearned. WB screwed up their cinematic DC universe big time.

Not to mention it tdkr became tired right after rises. Why would you do elements of the same storyline you did 5 yrs earlier?

Maybe it's for the best. Now the writers will be forced to be more creative about the stories they come up with, instead of using popular comics as a crutch. Marvel has done a pretty good job adapting well known comic stories into movies (Civil War had some pretty major narrative flaws, though. . .), but since DC has done almost nothing right, maybe this will force them to take some interesting risks.

I still have no real faith in WB, despite Wonder Woman being pretty good. But we'll see. With Snyder seemingly on his way out, there is a chance for improvement anyway.

WB should take a lesson from George Costanza and first decide exactly how they want to structure their upcoming cinematic universe and then do the exact opposite of whatever they decided, lol.

Yea aquaman and Shazam look decent . They just should of never rushed things. They have all there characters and a huge lore of stories to choose from. Marvel barely had any of its characters at the time. I still think DC needs to take a step back and figure out what they really want to do.

Reboot or recast and soft reboot

It will be a soft reboot- all depends if they keep Cavill( huge question mark) and if Affleck returns. I think team-up movies with the big three are out and they will be in series of stand alone films. They need to get some off-the-wall creative people involved and keep getting actors that fit the role

Hamada has made his stamp already. He gave for example the flashpoint the flick already and is making a normal flash movie first. Rushing flashpoint is a WB thing taking your time and building a quality universe is a Hamada thing

He’s not wearing makeup

This is the only DC film I am excited about. Not because of "ooh it's a Joker origin!" but more because it's like an Elseworlds look at an iconic character. DC has the characters that can handle solo films that are character studies and be completely separate from their other films. Casting plays a big part in my excitement as Phoenix is the perfect actor to get inside the head of The Joker and really display the tone they are going for just by casting him.

I’m a little surprised at the lack of excitement for this. JP might pull off a really good performance. He’s certainly got the Joker look down considering he’s not even “Jokerized” yet. I wonder if he’ll sport the makeup and the purple suit. I’m still not entirely thrilled about his “origin” and it sounds a little cheesy to me that he’s apparently narrating this. But whatever. Lol

If he doesn’t look any more like the Joker than he already does in this first photo, the film has already failed.

Commenting about a film before it is made and jumping the gun is so cliche. Your whole thing is already failing. I remember when people said they hated Heath Ledger's Joker look, and then the movie came out and everyone lost their ****, minus me. ;) I still think Jack is the best Joker. But I didn't belly ache about the Ledger Joker look.

I bet we won’t see his full “Joker” look until the end of the movie. It’ll probably be the final shot, with him climbing out of a vat of ACE chemicals laughing. I’d love to see them include his classic Red Hood look, complete with the big goofy dome mask. It hasn’t been done on-screen before.

I like that video of him on the street messing with that clown, but I really hope he gets to wear the full purple suit & makeup for a good chunk of the movie. That “mugshot” makes me think he could be an awesome Bermejo style Joker. Not holding my breath considering the story seemingly revolves around his life before that, as a failed comedian.

I’m not sure how I feel about his name being “Arthur Fleck”, but it doesn’t matter. At least A.Fleck is getting his solo film. :monkey2
