Wasn't there a theory floating around for years now that Ledger's Joker was ex-military? He also makes a comment on the normality of soldiers dying to Harvey Dent in the hospital (some people believe that's his true origin).

I think people were clutching at straws to explain his background. Though with his explosives and surgical skills I wouldn't be surprised if he was ex-special-ops.

It'll be funny to have three different Batman continuities going on if a Joker sequel does happen with Penguin and Two-Face. Birds of Prey's universe, Patman, and the All-In-Arthur's-Headiverse.

I would like to see a sequal that has a Batman in it but we never really see him... The film still focuses on Joker 100%

Joker Wakes in Arkham.. Breaks out.. Tries to commit the greatest crime and gets foiled and knocked out by a giant Bat and then he wakes up in Arkam again...

Well they went and ruined any of those cool concepts by showing little Bruce.

They should?ve never shown the deaths in the alley either.

Would be cool if they flipped it.

Joker was Wayne?s kid all along and Bruce was adopted lol

It'll be interesting to see if Joker becomes a criminal in the traditional sense or if he just a trouble maker that accidently gets in the way of criminals like Penguin. Maybe he starts out working for them? I can't see him functioning as a crime boss and it wouldn't be true to the character if his motivation is financial gain. At no point in he film was Arthur seeking money or power, only fame and success as a comedian, but mainly because he wanted the attention after a lifetime of being unnoticed. Maybe he developed a following like Robin Hood and they fight the rich, which includes criminals.

Is that really so surprising though you?re comparing DC # 1 villain to Deadpool a crappy 4th wall breaking childish B-C list character at best.

If a Joker centric movie can?t outperform a Deadpool centric movie then Warner Bros. has a problem.

Well now that the trades are saying that WB is set to make a 500 million profit off Joker the demand from internal will be for an immediate follow up.

The truck can back all the cocaine up to Phoenix?s and Phillip?s door that they need to get it done but they?re doing it.

Besides not doing a sequel would truly make this movie a big worthless waste of time.

He?s Joker in name only right now not because of any long term impactful actions.

They introduced Bruce.

How ridiculously stupid it would be to make this a one and done.

I bet Superman is involved in the sequel lol
