Yup. I don't swing from Ledger's nuts. Prepare your heart.... I also don't think he deserved the Oscar for the role but it was given to him out of sympathy. Ledger's done far better movies and played far more deserving characters. If you strip away the face paint, the Joker Ledger played could've been any random psychopath. Nicholson's was so much Joker it couldn't have been anybody else and is the sole reason, a short, fat man, despite being the exact polar opposite of what the Joker is, was able to sell us on him being Joker. :huh

Jesus christ, give me break. Both interpretations are different enough that there's no need to trash the other one.

This is the second time that we've had unfavorable encounter. It's also the third time I've seen you being negative about something that is positve or something that has the potential of being great. If it were up to you there would never be anything new and creative thought would be a thing of the past.

That's sadess and most lame way of thinking on the face of the panet. Have fun looking at everything in a negative light, I'm sure you'll go far in life.

Interview with DC's Editpr-in-Chief Bob Harras and DCU Executive Editor Eddie Berganza:

There are some new nuggets in there. They specifically call out "The Killing Joke" as something that will survive the relaunch. I don't know how that works with Barbara as Batgirl again.

Also, Action and JLA will be "flashbacks". I guess that's how they're going to be able to keep some of the current storylines: keep the timeline where it is, and mend the past with flashback issues. Seems kinda weird and convoluted, but I'm willing to give it a try.

edit: I meant JLA, not JSA. Sorry for getting anybody's hopes up.

Wasn't she paralyzed by the Joker?

Yeah, that's why I think it's odd that they're saying that story will survive the relaunch. Does Oracle get a miracle cure or something? Or is the Bat-Girl stuff all flashback?

I think I'm more confused after that interview. Unless I'm totally misunderstanding it...

So this whole _____-fest wasn't started from you not being able to accept that somebody preferred Nicholson to Ledger? 'cause that's what it looks like.

Thought so. Also, how can JSA be flashbacks when everybody's younger than they are in current continuity?

I screwed up and typed JSA when I meant JLA. Still though, I dunno. I saw it mentioned in this thread somewhere that Superman was going to be 22. I'm guessing that will be his age during the flashback issues and he will his current age (whatever that is) once they get out of the flashback.

I dunno, the whole thing is really kinda confusing and I don't think we're really going to know what's going on until these titles start shipping. At least I hope we know what's going on once we read the issues, otherwise this will be a ____ up of galactic proportions.

JSA, JLA, it doesn't matter. Still don't understand how they can have flashbacks of experiences their older selves went through. :cuckoo:

I'm long past comic books -- is this like a "do over"? Are they going to reinvent the history and start over again? New costume, etc?

The REBOOT is taking over the entire world!
