I don't think so. The Joker doesn't say "You gonna get raped" in any printing of The Killing Joke.

I've heard that Harley was supposed to be raped in her office by Joker, but there is no such event published. Not even ambiguously.
At the forum where I found the statement by Gail Simone, someone also pointed out the The Killing Joke was released as a 'mature reader' title (on account of all the bareass shots and the level of violence) so if they wanted to make it clear that she was raped, they could have.
The most telling piece I found was that Moore himslef said there was no rape, but I have no source for that. It was also mentioned that Mike Grell insisted that Dinah Lance was not raped in The Longbow Hunters, which caught me by complete surprise.
Still, I was talking to a friend who read both when they came out and he didn't buy either statement for a second. It was so solid in his mind that they had both been raped, and for so long that even the authors' word on the matter was irrelevant. That was what gave the stories the impact they had and it made no sense to him that it could be otherwise.
I've never read The Killing Joke because its only reprinted in hard cover and my OCD only lets me buy TPBs (I like uniformity). From everything presented here, I'm inclined to believe Barbara was raped. While just the naked pictures of her being shot would be enough to disturb Gordon, taking it to the next level and raping her really puts it over the top. I don't think Joker is going to miss that opportunity. Plus, didn't he rape Harley Quinn?
To blame that belief on someone's parents is ridiculous. Rape is, unfortunately, a very common crime in our society. Comics reflect real life and its not a stretch to believe that rape would be hinted.
Obviously it wasn't explicitly shown due to the title and that there were likely younger readers. DC was just showing good taste in allowing older readers to get it, while it went over the head of younger ones. We see this all the time in kids movies dealing with adult issues.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents, for what its worth, which is proabably alot less than 2 cents.
Do you remember how recently? All I've found in bookstores and on Amazon is the hardcover.
It kinda sounds like he has some sort of obsession with rape...
Thanks for that link Nam.
Weird, that a shoe ad would be one of the first sources of these new costumes. I guess, that the stupid lines on Superman's costume is not just for him. Don't know how accurate these ads are to the new costume designs but notice the flash boots are similar, too. Does it look like Batman lost his underwear, too?

Moore was never afraid to write stuff like that, but I could see DC getting cold feet about Batgirl being explicitly raped. I think from the nudity it's implied even if it's not "on the page".
From a character with a 71-year history who's never demonstrated any rape tendencies before or after said "implied rape"??
