For this week's (9/7) list, I'll give these a shot:

Action Comics #1
Detective Comics #1
Men of War #1

May pick up (on the fence):

Batgirl #1
Green Arrow #1
Swamp Thing #1

action comics
detective comics
aquaman
suicide squad
grifter
batman
superman
green lantern
green lantern corps
batman dark knight

That's a good list. I'll be getting the same, save for the GL titles. Never been a fan.

I'll probably pick up Stormwatch, too.

I'm hoping to hell Grifter is good. Always liked him in WildC.A.T.S.

Well, I picked up a few things yesterday. Justice League # 1 from Midtown Comics, and a signed copy of an older Justice League comic (signed by Geoff Johns) at Jim Hanley's Universe.

By the way, are any of you guys in NYC? If so, Midtown comics will be hosting a few signing sessions, for Batman and Robin, and Batman # 1. I'll be attending. Let me know and maybe we can meet up.

Does anybody know of any good places to by comics online (as in online shops, not digital comics)? Ive never really bought "current" comics. Usually either pick up back issues or graphic novels or TPB's. But im interested in checking out a couple of these new titles, just to see what they're like.

Any one have any suggestions where i could pick a couple up? Preferably in the UK.

But some people couldn't let go. They had to bring back Oliver Queen. And Hal Jordan. And Barry Allen. And Superman-2. And Earth-2.

Geoff Johns has been accused of trying to restart the Silver Age of DC for years and hasn't really denied it, if you look at his writing and primarily how he handles Bronze or Modern age creations it definitely reflects. Hal Jordan and Barry Allen's returns were done by Johns' hand alone as was the rebirth of Manhunter, the Hawks and Arthur as Aquaman.

Guys like Geoff Johns and Jim Lee are very talented, but they're in way over their heads now.

They are both fantastic but even they I don't think fully comprehend how big of a move this is and how alienating it is to fans both new and old. It's a fantastic risk but it's one that DC brass should have never let occur especially since they were already ____ing around with modern heroes in their Earth-1 imprint (which by the way still exists...) if it pays off then they'll be applauded but even as someone who has become marginally excited about the New 52 and it's implications on the modern understanding of these mythological characters, I would even say if it fails they should seen that coming before it was even breathed to the public.

I have come around a lot of these and am willing to give it a shot but reading a few of the teasers and early reveals I have a feeling there will be more the public spits back than fully excepted...

DC should have just done these on separate earth titles. I would have loved to have seen the previous DC universe progress where the heroes eventually turn over their mantle to their proteges and begin to grow old: which is what was happening with Grayson's batman and West's Flash. On DC's emblem they could have featured the earth number that title belongs to like DC3 or something. Then let this new universe as another DC earth title. For some reason, I like to explore the idea of Wayne getting older, slower. The superman/batman generations 1, 2 and 3 was a great run and something I would like to see develop in a more natural time progression.

Thats great, thanks dude, i'll give them a try. Although they're already sold out of the first issue of detective. Nevermind, will keep an eye on them for future releases though. :hi5:

I like this idea. This could appease old fans and get new ones too.

This what you were trying to post?:

Check it again.

I don't know why the link was doing that. When both of you quoted, the image was up and just fine. But yeah, now I see that it's the site's name. My bad, I saved it through photobucket.
