I read the first two issues of Batman: The Dark Knight yesterday and thought they were pretty good. I'd stopped collecting comics a long time ago, but decided to start back, focusing mainly on Batman. Also went ahead and ordered the first three issues of Detective Comics and the first two of Batman.

Only just getting back into comics after a pretty long hiatus & this new 52 is absolutely perfect for jumping on.

I'm only collecting about 10 titles but so far I'm loving all of them...nothing really letting me down in any of them.

I'm not really upto speed on a lot of the stuff that has gone before (Batmans son & Blackest Night / Brightest Day etc.) but it's been fun reading them as they are.

SNIP...

And holy crap GL #3...what just happened...

Ooooh intriguing...picking up my copy this weekend so will be looking forward to reading this.

Holy ____. That did not just happen. Logic says that it's not permanent but still what the ____.

But even Sinestro was like, wtf?
That's what had me going. Madness

I wonder if
If was a safety installed by Mongul when he was in charge of the Sinestro Corps
or
If he'll absorb the power within the SCPB

Another shocker was
How bloody they were, I've never seen Jordan simply blow someone's head off and use lethal force like that.

Just read GL 3 and wow WTF was up with the ending, i mean like wow ok so this is a game changer for sure.... wow
and i blame you guys for building the issue up so much that i gave in and read it.... again wow

Reading GL3 again I think I know what happened:

Wasn't the Sinestro Corps Battery once located in Qward? So couldn't it teleport someone from our verse to the Anti-Matter Universe? I mean the Weaponer of Qward is now a Sinestro Corps Member so theoretically they could move back and forth. What if Hal wasn't actually killed but in fact teleported to the AMU? It'd be interesting especially since they can actually manufacture rings as strong as the Oan versions

Arrrghh!!! this wait is killing me :gah::gah::gah:

I'm going out extra early tomorrow to get all my shopping done then I can pick it up last job & head straight home & lock myself away to read it in peace.

I've never been so psyched for a comic before in my life & it's all your fault :rotfl:rotfl

Hmm yeah, that could very well be what happened. Interesting...

Even the whole "disintigration process initiating" could be a red herring that gets people thinking he's dying, but disintigration happens in most forms of teleportation as well. Mike you could be on to something.

Green Lantern definitely has me hooked as well at the moment more than any of the others

I've now given up getting Action Comics now though, didn't enjoy the first two and found the third unreadable

Didn't make it to the LCS before close. :banghead One more day until GL #3 for me...

I like Action a lot, but I might drop it because there just isn't much story there to justify a $3.99 price tag.

DC said that a few titles will command more than $2.99. Action, Justice League and I believe when Batman: Incorporated starts up again in 2012 it'll be higher than $2.99 as well.

Finally got my GL#3 on Satuday & read it twice :)

It's awesome & I so didn't expect the ending.
I've read the spoilered details above & I'm not up to date with anything in GL (this is the first time I've ever read GL comics so anything that went before means nothing) so I'm interested in the theories being put about & I'm frantically trying to read up on past saga's online so I can get up to speed.

But it's an awesome series & my fave of the new 52 so far.

Speaking of catching up can anyone recommend me some GL story arcs to read to help catch me up a little??

Thanks

Neil
