Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Does anyone know if the neca action figure stands work well with Arkham figures? Or any stands that do?

DC Direct stands work with NECA figures, so it should work the other way too. Most companies share peg hole sizes. 3 3/4 Inch, 6 inch, 7 inch.

3-pack ($54.99)

that DS looks better proportioned

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

It's probably just the angle; it's the same figure with a different head so whatever issues the first one has will likely carry over into this one.

They looked about the right size to me i think they made them pretty universal.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Firefly, Deadshot, and Anarchy came. Pictures being uploaded.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Yay! Love that they're re releasing series 1. What's the best place to pre order? I know BBTS and AE both get their stuff late, but which gets it later? Lol

Series 2 is definitely the better wave out of the two so far. The articulation increase alone was great, the paints are even better to. Any of the series 2 figures trump series 1 Joker, Black Mask and Bane. Only thing that is scary is that they all still have clear joints but they seem sturdier.

Series 2:

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Are Anarky's arms covered in soft plastic? I can't see the joint at all.

Really impressed with the entire wave being near super articulated, was sure we'd have some figures get the short end of the stick like Series 1.

My comic shop should be getting them next week, really can't wait for these.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

It's covered with rubber sleeves. The hood is rubber as well. You do have to be careful with the black wash on the sleeves, if you grip them too hard the black will rub off.

Wow, that's actually really impressive. What do you mean by griping it too hard though? Bending it too much causes it to come off or just touching it too much?

How is the hood attached? It looks like the hood is fixed to the body, not the head like Robin and Azreal.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Yeah, I was honestly happy when I noticed it.

If you handle/hold them too hard when you're moving the joints, it's possible for the wash to start rubbing off. That's just due to the rubber, but it's not to bad since the rubber is a darker red like the plastic on the torso.

The backpack straps are rubber but the actual backpack doesn't come off. The belt straps are thicker rubber so it doesn't really ruin the artic.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Alright, just want to make sure I don't mess mine up, though I have a feeling it's not a big detriment at all.

What about the hood though? It looks a bit odd it doesn't turn with the head at all. Wish they would have sculpted and painted some hair since his hood is made that way though. Looks odd honestly.

He was still my most anticipated figure when I thought he had no elbows and only had swivel shoulder. Looks like DCC is really kicking it up a notch. I'm not to fond of the thigh cuts on Deadshot, I hope they don't cram them into every figure, only when the design permits like Deathstroke and Batman.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Yeah, as long as you do it carefully it should be fine.

The hood is attached to the torso and not the head. I think that's better so you get more poses out of it. I don't remember him having hair in the game.

Yeah, he's definitely better than Bane, Joker, and Black Mask. The thigh cuts really help Deadshot otherwise the legs wouldn't pose as nicely as they do. If anything all figures need ankle joints. Anarchy especially with the way the boots stand.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

I wish DCC would start using the better articulation all across the board rather then focusing on just a few figures, i find it irksome that anarchy and firefly lack ankle joints and thigh swivels.

But it's a huge improvement over the first series nonetheless and those pics actually made me interested in anarchy.

Glad to see firefly actually has ball hips; he's the one i PO'd along with deathstroke.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Took a updated picture of my Arkham Origins shelve. I already need a bigger shelve unit, I don't think I can fit anymore Arkham figures or customs.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Ankle joints sure, those are important, especially since stands aren't included anymore. But honestly, when a thigh cut looks like they sculpted it a single piece and just cut it in half, I really don't like it. Breaks the sculpt up, and really brings me back to the terrible looking DCUC Mattel thigh cuts. Deadshot's aren't terrible and I'm sure it makes posing a lot nicer, but seeing it on Copperhead too makes it seem like it's not far off from becoming a trend. I know not that many people liked the lesser articulated figures, and I while really enjoyed them, like this articulation too. I just don't want to see sculpt compromised for articulation. DCC'/DCD's main thing was making figures that focused more on sculpt than articulation, and they're getting closer an closer to the quality NECA's figures have, but I'm worried these thigh cuts will be on everyone.

Deathstroke, Batman, etc. works perfectly with the design of the armour.

As for the hood, I think it works a lot nicer when it's attached to the head, looks nicer too. otherwise the face starts to get obscured by the hood. And I'm pretty sure he had some hair, blonde I think?

You have to zoom in on it some to see the hair. Render for it looks bad though. You guys know the fight with Sionis in the Church, his mouth doesn't even move when he's taunting you...

That set up looks nice, Branden doesn't look out of place either. Looks good.

I'm actually a little surprised by the amount of articulation copperhead received; considering her design is mostly exposed flesh or form-fitting leather, not a lot of places to hide joints. It's not just her thigh cuts, she's got some pretty gnarly looking bicep-swivels as well. Personally i don't mind that at all, but i imagine some poeple would.

I didn't see the biceps, really should have done the same joint as Joker and Batman for her. That joint works well when a Bicep swivel wouldn't work.

Copperhead looks nice, and I'm sure it'll look better once we see the actual figure and not a prototype. Her waist just looks too thick and honestly her chest is a bit flat. I didn't really pay attention to her in that manner, but I thought they were a little more prominent. Most Arkhamverse and video game women in general have oversized breasts. :lol I feel that the ab joint looks odd because she's so flat chested though. Normally right under the breast is a good spot to put joints like that. (On male figures too, this is just getting uncomfortable :lol )

I'm not too upset about the obvious double knees on Copperhead and the thigh cut, because she really needs a lot of articulation given the acrobatic nature of her character. Gives me slight hope for a better Catwoman. I may seem like I'm nitpicking, but DCC is really starting to overimpress me anymore. I was really happy with all their figures and now they're really doing a good job on articulation and sculpting. Just seems to be getting better and better overall.

RickCoronel tired to post this but something got screwed up.

Much larger and clearer picture. Colours seem to be a bit oversaturated though.

If you look closely Copperhead has double hinged elbows and I'm pretty sure I can see a rocker ankle on her, looks like there's a pattern for a joint, but can't be sure just yet.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

I thought I saw double elbows, but no one mentioned it so I wasn't sure. I'm still debating whether or not to get this set.
