Let me guess one of them is Frank the pimp.

Frank the Pimp and Tour Guide are doable if you're careful.

The 5 day and 7 day survivor....forget those 2.
Saint, rescue 50 survivors...forget that one too.
Full Set, which is linked to Saint....screw that one.
Transmissionary, that one's also frakking impossible.

Think those 5 are the toughest.

I tried for the 5/7 day survivor once, and barely got past hour ten. I'd still like to unlock the laser sword, but I simply don't have 10 consecutive hours to devote to playing a game anymore. Just one save slot would have made a world of difference for those two achievements.

Is Full Set the one for meeting all the survivors in your notebook? If so, I believe it carries over between games, so that you can just concentrate on locating the survivors you missed on previous playthroughs.

I was well on my way to getting the Saint achievement when one of my stupid survivors decided to lead a mutiny and take off with a bunch of people I'd already saved. Next time, I'll be sure to always have a bottle of wine in my inventory.

Transmissionary was just stupid. Glad I never bothered trying for that one.

If Full Set carries over, then I shouldn't be too far away from that one. I might be able to get that one. I think that at least a couple of save slots would make the survivor a little bit easier.

Is there a list somewhere of which person is in the notebook and where to find them???

Nevermind, found one:

Ugh that sucks. :( Gonna pick up Wolverine tonight then finish DR1 up. Thanks for the tips last night nick and kain. :duff

No worries, think I'm about done though, 800 GP is enough, those last 200 aren't worth playing the game that much.

Too true. Dead Rising is the game that ultimately cured me of my achievement-whoriness. I got 840 gamerscore from it, tried survivor mode once and then decided that life was just too damn short to waste hours of it to get, what? A little picture in my achievement list and 20 useless gamerpoints? Pass.

I just have to do Frank the pimp and psycho collector...

Strange about the second one, I don't know why I never did it before...

I think the only way I'd do it is like suggested on Game Faq. Go stock up on food and just let it sit and only eat enough to keep yourself going. Basically just hide till you complete it.

I think you would eventually run out and would have to kill some psychos to get more food though.

can't you just hide in the security office, or on the roof?

Nope, zombies are everywhere, and there are no more food respawns. It's been calculated that if you picked up every single item of food that isn't carried by a survivor and didn't take a single hit of damage, you still wouldn't be able to last 5 days, let alone 7.

You basically have to start by rushing to the book stores as quickly as possible to grab all three of the books that increase the health you get from food items. You then have to hoard your food and carry it somewhere you can sit and relax while constantly eating to replenish your dwindling health.

You MIGHT be able to make it to 5 days using only the food items found in the mall AND having all three books, but any hits you take along the way will probably prevent that from happening. You'll eventually have to hunt for survivors to kill and get their food, and they take a lot more damage than before. Like, 10 shots with the megaman blaster just to kill Otis.

All that, plus you have to play continuously without saving or turning off your machine (and avoiding freezes and other glitches). Like I said before, life's way too short.
