Dead Rising 2 Cheap as Chips in the UK, Heading for a September Release?

In the same vein of the Halo 3: ODST price bargain for the UK we posted earlier, we've got another one for you that's equally, if not as good as it. Again, this is a UK store, so sorry for the rest of the world users out there today - the UK just seems to be on a bit of a roll.

It seems as if Tesco's online entertainment section is listing Dead Rising 2 for the low, low price of £27.96, which like ODST, effectively makes it a budget title. If it's anywhere near as good as the original, then it's a steal at that price.

In other slightly related news, it appears that all the online UK retailers are marking the title up for a September 25th release in Europe. Whilst we don't generally listen to retailer listings (I mean, Play.com has Hei$t listed for release next week!), this time we might be inclined to listen. Why? Because they all seem to be reporting the same date, and also, they must get their information from somewhere. Either way, it didn't hurt to bring it to your attention.

It was the reason I got a 360, and it is very fun, IMO. Well worth the $20 or whatever you can get it for nowadays. . .but only if you enjoy smashing zombies.

Went to Gamestop yesterday to pick up Ghostbusters and they have Dead Rising 2 being released on 3/10/10....I though it was released later this year

all i can say is i really hope they changed the save system in this game!! i played pat 1 and it was sooooooo dam frustrating not being able to save when you wanted too!

half the time you could never make it to a save point and would have to start from the very beginning! so frustrating!!!!! i got so fed up with it and stopped playing it!

I will admit that the save system wasn't much to desire, but it did add the element of survival horror to the game. Much like the original Resident Evils did with the limited amount of ink ribbons.

I wonder HOW they are going to change it though.....

Yeah, I hate the DR save system, but like Darth said, it adds a bit to the 'survival horror' theme for the game. I'd personally like it to be changed though!

E3 2010: Capcom Announces Its E3 Line-Up

Ahead of next week's hyper-global-mega trade show, E3, Capcom today finally confirmed its E3 line-up and although it's pretty much as expected, the Japanese publisher does promise some surprises.

The line-up is lead by two of their biggest franchises - Dead Rising and Marvel vs. Capcom - with downloadable titles like Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 holding up the rear.

The full list of titles are:

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds
Okamiden (DS)
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2
Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Heroes (PS3)
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (DS)
