There's work around to that. Stand right in front of a wall then do a 180 so the camera gets wedged between the wall and you...BAM instant text zoom :lol

haha yeah, I learned to do that. The problem was, you'd have to get it in the exact right position, or you wind up making it all diagonal-y.

For anyone who might be wondering:

If you do all the optional missions in Classic Mode, you will get the achievement. You don't need to do the Co-Op optional missions, since Classic Mode doesn't see them as an available options.

I have no idea if you need to do the co-op ones in the other modes, for the achievement. But I can confirm this works.

if you didnt do some of the side missions can you go back and do them by selecting to play the chapter again or how does it work? i missed 2 or 3 side missions and wanna complete them.

same here. I would like to know also. Can I do it on new game +?

I'm sure it would work on NG+.

I don't know about doing it piecemeal through the Mission Select, especially if you never triggered the mission by listening to the logs, or whatever triggered each specific optional mission.

what is Dead Space: Awakened? Is it a add on to DS3 or a whole new game? Do you need DS3 to download and play it or not?

Report: EA Cancels Dead Space 4, Future of Series in Doubt

Despite being in the early stages of development, Dead Space 4 has been cancelled following the disappointing sales of Dead Space 3.

That’s according to a report published this morning, citing an anonymous source close to the unannounced project. Should it be true the revelation casts doubt over the future of the once-promising action horror series.

The source claims that Dead Space 4 was in production at developer Visceral Games, with a small team working on prototypes and potential narratives for the game.

However, following the failure of Dead Space 3 to live up to EA’s expectations, the publisher visited the studio last month to inform the team that work should stop.

In addition to this the source also provided some insight into the development of Dead Space 3 and none of it reflects well on EA.

Apparently the game endured several budget cuts and at one point was almost cancelled. What’s more the publisher is said to have ordered Visceral to change the ammo system in the game to allow for a microtransaction implementation.

Dead Space 3’s microtransactions would go on to cause quite a stir, generating ill-will for the title before it was even released.

The source claims that Dead Space 3 was to feature a weapon-specific ammo system, but it made a potential microtransaction system cumbersome, so generic ammo was introduced instead.

During development and post-release much of the discussion around Dead Space 3 centered on the game’s continuing shift towards all-out action and away from the series’ creepy horror.

According to the source this was a publisher-led decision, as EA wanted the game to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. The studio was reportedly told to make Dead Space 3 feel more like Mass Effect.

Unfortunately for both EA and Visceral, Dead Space 3’s shift wasn’t enough to secure the future of the series. Launched last month first week sales were down 26.6 per cent on those of Dead Space 2.

It has slid pretty quickly down the UK charts too, suggesting that sales are dropping pretty sharply.

EA has yet to comment.

Looks like another franchise might go down due to EA wanting a game to appeal to the masses.

I Bought the Game when it Came out & So far .. i don't know, it's not engaging as the previous titles, as i receive new games "Metal Gear Rising" i've put it on hold and after completing MGR i carried it on with DS3, and now Tomb Raider and again putting it on Hold

The game IMO is as fun as the others but I'm not shocked EA screwed things up for the rest of us. Those idiots wouldn't know what they're doing if you laid out a perfect blueprint for them.

Dead Space 4 Allegedly Killed, EA Responds
Rumors are "flat-out not true."

Dead Space 4, which was allegedly in pre-production at Visceral Montreal, has allegedly been canceled following poor sales, according to rampant online rumors. This news follows recent layoffs at Visceral Montreal and its rumored closure, and is completely false.

EA tells IGN that this information is "flat-out not true," as well as reaffirms that Visceral Montreal (the developer behind Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel, not Dead Space 3) is alive and well. The publisher wouldn't confirm one way or the other that Montreal was involved in a Dead Space sequel, and simply stated it collaborated with the Dead Space development team in the past.

EA's generic statement provided to the press reads, "While we have not announced sales for Dead Space 3, we are proud of the game and the franchise remains an important IP to EA." The publisher declined to provide IGN with sales estimates.

Hmmmm so is it cancelled or not.

I feel the opposite actually. I understood what they were going with in the first game where he never said a word and it didn't bother me, but I actually liked his personality in Dead Space 2 and 3. He's a cool guy, in my opinion. I feel bad that he's always stuck fighting Necromorphs no matter where he goes. :lol

Yeah, I love it that he talks, and I like his personality.

We don't get too much of the Arkham style, "So I need to get up there, but this fence is blocking my way. If only there was something to grapple on to..." overtalking. Sure, there's some, but really not that much.

But I love his dry and sarcastic sense of humor. I forget the specific part, but Santos radios to him about something (in the room with the harpoon guns), and he just says to himself, "Oh, good".

I loved when he gets on the tram and says how he hates the regenerating necromorphs because I was thinking the same thing.
