I have no issue with him talking. I enjoy the character expansion aspect, and agree that it needed to be done to improve the narrative. I just preferred it when he remained silent and let his body language do the talking. As a player, I felt more isolated and alone when he didn't speak and it improved the horror experience.

I agree with that. I think that was their aim with the first game and they did a good job at it. I remember reading an article in Game Informer about how Isaac was supposed to be an ordinary guy who gets stuck in this crazy situation. He's kind of evolved into an action hero at this point, but I feel like that's almost unavoidable with the type of game this is and if you want to keep the same protagonist throughout the series.

I know some were disappointed with Dead Space 3, but I loved it. I understand the complaints about it getting repetitive, but I felt like it was a breath of fresh air after Resident Evil 6 and I was captivated the whole time and beat it within a week. Resident Evil 6 took me about 3 months to finish because it was hard for me to get into it, and that's my favorite game franchise of all time.

I agree. I actually like both, because both fit their games. The more claustrophobic DS1 lent itself to the silent protagonist. But I don't think that could have sustained itself over the next two games.

Precisely. With the increased complexity of the story, and Isaac's increased importance to the overall universe, it was a necessary addition.

DS3 was definitely better than RE6. I feel so sad having to say that :lol

I really liked DS3 on my second playthrough.

I didn't dislike it on the first, but there was a lot of conflicting reactions. I liked playing it, but felt like I was missing a lot of the fun vibes from the first two.

Once I knew what the game was going to be like, and I knew not to expect certain things, it was easier to go along for the ride.

if you didnt do some of the side missions can you go back and do them by selecting to play the chapter again or how does it work? i missed 2 or 3 side missions and wanna complete them.

Load up the save that you'd like to do the optional missions on and it gives you a Chapter Select option. You can even choose for the game to place you at that given point. Tried it yesterday and worked perfectly.

they shouldn't try to make it an action game. :slap I like the creepy horror.

I hear so many people saying this. How exactly did they turn it into an action game? Because Isaac has to fight off a couple of human enemies?

This game wasn't just run and gun the whole time, it retained a lot of the elements that made Dead Space 1 and 2 what they were. I personally loved it just as much as the previous 2.

because the game as a whole wasn't creepy at all!!! the weapon was too powerful!!! The more powerful the weapons get the less scare you are. Big weapons make you less scare and you feel more powerful and in control of situation. Bigger and badder weapons/guns = action! So this is an action game...EA said it them self that they want this to be more of an "action game" to pull more sales.

Also...I miss the hallucinations. Unless I missed most of them, I didn't really come across any. A few in the cutscenes and what not, but that's it. I know Isaac was more or less "cured" of his dementia caused by the marker...but I still miss it.

Perhaps I need to play through again, or do some of the co-op missions.

Yes they do. I really hope the reports that DS4 hasn't gotten the axe are true. This series has been a lot of fun.
