Deadpool being in the same shared universe just means that Hugh Jackman will no doubt make an appearance. I guarantee that's the only reason why it's part of it.

It's part of the same universe because that's the thing nowadays.

if Wolverine makes an appearance It'll just be a cameo so it's not like Batman taking over Supermans sequel or Iron Man taking over Caps sequel

That's just business, nothing out of the ordinary.

First the Death of Wolverine, then cancelling the Fantastic Four, then retconning the Twins into Inhumans, now killing the un-killable Deadpool.

There's an obvious pattern there.

Wonder what ******** they'll do to their own comic characters next to (not even in the slightest) damage the movies.

I wouldn't even be surprised in the least bit if they kill off deadpool in some big fashion and slap a big "The End" on his comic and the following month, he's back and all "Hah, I'm just ****in with yah, I'm not some little pansy like Logan who goes and dies"

Seems they're positioning the Inhumans to be the X-Men of the MCU.

The new Inhumans series is now titled the Uncanny Inhumans or something like that, Marvel isn't really being subtle with all these deaths and reboots.

Sure they can have Inhumans be the X-Men of their movies but what's the point in trying to make them the X-Men of the comics when they already have that working for them.

They seem to be trying to kill characters or cancel books around the time of the corresponding movies but what's the point. Killing Deadpool won't make less people go to the movie neither will attempting to replace long established and fan-favourite characters like X-Men with Inhumans affect the X-Men movies.

They killed off Wolverine this year (sure he'll be back) and that ploy didn't stop X-Men Days of Future Past being the highest rated and second highest grossing Marvel movie this year

Ryan Reynolds Speaks On Finally Making DEADPOOL 'The Right Way' Without A Big Budget

When Josh Horowitz of MTV News caught up with Ryan Reynolds at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend, the reporter couldn't wait to question the actor about the long-awaited Deadpool, which will be the first comic book movie released early next year. "Yeah, it's been a long time, you know, and it's happening the right way," said Reynolds. "That's all that matters. We don't have the kind of money that most superhero movies do, but that's great. Necessity is the mother of invention, and that's why we get to make the movie we want to make." In light of the critical and box office flop that was Green Lantern, Ryan was then asked he feels any pressure about the 2016 Fox/Marvel standalone film. "No, no, no, of course not," Reynolds replied. "You gotta have faith in the people you're working with, and have faith in the prep, and that's all I'm doing. On this one, the prep's been 11 years. You'd like to think you're putting your best foot forward, but we'll see." About the leaked Deadpool test footage, which was well-received (and literally broke ComicBookMovie.com for an hour or so), Reynolds said he wishes he had leaked it sooner. "I would have Fox's lawyers so far up my ass they could smell Wade Wilson's feet," joked the actor when asked if he leaked the footage. "No, no, no I didn’t leak it. But I would have. Looking back now, in a heartbeat. I should go home and scan the old hard drive and see what I've got in there." Anyhow, video of the MTV interview can be found below. Directed by Tim Miller, Deadpool will see Ryan Reynolds return as Wade Wilson on February 12, 2016. What do you think?

Hopefully he’s implying that the movie will be R rated.

There's no way in hell this will be rated R, especially if it's part of their own little universe. Maybe we'll get a barely rated R version on blu ray like The Wolverine with a few F bombs and some blood splatter but we won't see an R rating anywhere near the theatrical release.

Hopefully they'll make it in a way that they can release and unrated cut but theatre-wise R-rated comic book movies never make money so I don't see why anyone would expect the studio to make it for that rating.

The first two Blade movies did alright, and that was before the whole superhero movie phenomenon.

If the budget is 50 million, I think they can make it R and be just fine. But I really don’t care whether its R or PG-13 just as long as its good.

Ryan Reynolds Talks DEADPOOL Director, Lower Budget, Hopes For An R-Rating, And More

Deadpool is FINALLY official, and the movie will reach us on February 12th. There's been a bit of casting buzz since, but Ryan Reynolds himself is the one to provide us with our latest update about what's to come. Talking to Collider, the site asked him what makes relative unknown Tim Miller the right man to bring the popular character to the big screen. "[He’s] always been the right guy," Reynolds says in the video above. "He’s always, you know, shown nothing but a fierce loyalty to the canon of Deadpool and that’s the thing you look for first and foremost, a guy that is always wanting to push a little bit farther. And the advantage of doing a movie like this on a budget that is significantly less than any other kind of superhero movie is that you get to do things that you don’t get to do on other superhero movies so that’s what we’re most excited about."

The comment about the budget is particularly interesting, and could be an indication that Fox are indeed planning on making Deadpool an R-Rated movie. Asked about that, Reynolds would only tease: "I have no idea … I don’t want to spoil anything so we’ll see. We hope." Hope? It certainly appears as if that's what both Miller and Reynolds are gunning for then, so hopefully we'll hear something sooner rather than later. As for the current status of Deadpool, the actor would only say the following about where things currently stand. "Tests. Lots of tests. Lots and lots of tests. That’s about all I can say about that." What do you guys think of these comments? Sound off below.

Sounds like we an R rating is looking very possible right now.

An R rating would be great, but if ticket sales tank as a result*, I don't want Fox to be discouraged from giving us more movies with DP and other characters. Taskmaster, Cable, etc. We'll probably see Cable tied into the Apocalypse story, but even so, I'd love to see the connections between all of them explored on-screen.

*or maybe they won't, due to the massive number of Deadpool fans, both true and fairweather :lol
