Deadpool being in the same shared universe just means that Hugh Jackman will no doubt make an appearance. I guarantee that's the only reason why it's part of it.
That's just business, nothing out of the ordinary.
Kill him then have him finally get it on with Death, his one true love, only for her to dump him and send him back to life
First the Death of Wolverine, then cancelling the Fantastic Four, then retconning the Twins into Inhumans, now killing the un-killable Deadpool.
There's an obvious pattern there.
Wonder what ******** they'll do to their own comic characters next to (not even in the slightest) damage the movies.
Seems they're positioning the Inhumans to be the X-Men of the MCU.
The new Inhumans series is now titled the Uncanny Inhumans or something like that, Marvel isn't really being subtle with all these deaths and reboots.
When Josh Horowitz of MTV News caught up with Ryan Reynolds at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend, the reporter couldn't wait to question the actor about the long-awaited Deadpool, which will be the first comic book movie released early next year. "Yeah, it's been a long time, you know, and it's happening the right way," said Reynolds. "That's all that matters. We don't have the kind of money that most superhero movies do, but that's great. Necessity is the mother of invention, and that's why we get to make the movie we want to make." In light of the critical and box office flop that was Green Lantern, Ryan was then asked he feels any pressure about the 2016 Fox/Marvel standalone film. "No, no, no, of course not," Reynolds replied. "You gotta have faith in the people you're working with, and have faith in the prep, and that's all I'm doing. On this one, the prep's been 11 years. You'd like to think you're putting your best foot forward, but we'll see." About the leaked Deadpool test footage, which was well-received (and literally broke ComicBookMovie.com for an hour or so), Reynolds said he wishes he had leaked it sooner. "I would have Fox's lawyers so far up my ass they could smell Wade Wilson's feet," joked the actor when asked if he leaked the footage. "No, no, no I didn’t leak it. But I would have. Looking back now, in a heartbeat. I should go home and scan the old hard drive and see what I've got in there." Anyhow, video of the MTV interview can be found below. Directed by Tim Miller, Deadpool will see Ryan Reynolds return as Wade Wilson on February 12, 2016. What do you think?
Deadpool is FINALLY official, and the movie will reach us on February 12th. There's been a bit of casting buzz since, but Ryan Reynolds himself is the one to provide us with our latest update about what's to come. Talking to Collider, the site asked him what makes relative unknown Tim Miller the right man to bring the popular character to the big screen. "[He’s] always been the right guy," Reynolds says in the video above. "He’s always, you know, shown nothing but a fierce loyalty to the canon of Deadpool and that’s the thing you look for first and foremost, a guy that is always wanting to push a little bit farther. And the advantage of doing a movie like this on a budget that is significantly less than any other kind of superhero movie is that you get to do things that you don’t get to do on other superhero movies so that’s what we’re most excited about."
The comment about the budget is particularly interesting, and could be an indication that Fox are indeed planning on making Deadpool an R-Rated movie. Asked about that, Reynolds would only tease: "I have no idea … I don’t want to spoil anything so we’ll see. We hope." Hope? It certainly appears as if that's what both Miller and Reynolds are gunning for then, so hopefully we'll hear something sooner rather than later. As for the current status of Deadpool, the actor would only say the following about where things currently stand. "Tests. Lots of tests. Lots and lots of tests. That’s about all I can say about that." What do you guys think of these comments? Sound off below.
If this is PG-13, I won't even be bothering.
