There is kind of an excuse.. They Lost Yao.. But still have Montumbo and Scola who are doing great..

We lost all 3 of our centers.. Mihm, Bynum and Gasol.. Leaving us w/ no big.

Either way they played great defense (love Battier's hand in the face technique, I'm surprised more players don't do that) and Alston was en fuego.

yea Battier's D was really frusterating Kobe, wasnt aware Mihm was out though. It was a good game either way.

About time that streak ended.. Lakers should have snapped it if only they got their heads out their butts.. Farmar needed to go OVER the screen and Odom should have posted up McGrady all game long..

Either way its nice to be back in first for the moment..

Bynum won't be back now until the playoffs.. Mihm is practicing again.. Ariza wont be back at all and Gasol is healing fast.

On a side note every time I look at the Suns box score I get a chuckle out of thei lack of depth.. If only they had the Lakers injury woes.. < LOL!!!

Even though the Rockets lost the Lakers are still playing second fiddle to the Rockets, we own the Lakers series 2/3 so Rockets are still in first. And the Celtics can burn in hell!:emperor

On a side note its nice to see the Suns finally starting to come together, I have always liked that team ever since the Barkley days. I just hope either the Rockets or Suns come out of the West. Boston needs to get some injuries going they are playing to damn good.

how do you know the Suns are worse than last year until the playoffs? Just because they don't run and gun like they used to?

Frankly, if the Suns were the same as last year but still don't make it to the NBA finals, then what does it matter? They aren't playing for 2nd or 3rd place, so IMO keeping the same team WITHOUT a big man, would be kind of pointless.

I think they realized that it's time to stop looking pretty and get this ++++ing thing done. Which is what they have been doing for the past 5 games.

As for your lakers, theyre just an ankle, pinky and knee away from collapsing.

My point exactly.. We've had more than our fill of ankle pinky and knee issues... AND WE'RE STILL IN 1st PLACE. We just keep on keeping on.

Suns have no depth.. If they had a fraction of our issues they'd be chilling with the Clippers in the poo hole.

Last time I checked their is no award given for 'Regular Season Champion'. Once this team proves something in the playoffs, then they'll have my respect.

You better watch out for Utah, IMO they have the capability to demolish the lakers. Your team has not even played together fully yet and you are still predicting they will dominate. Your assumptions are just that, assumptions at best.
