I'm still hugely enjoying it. Just been too busy to post an episode by episode recap. Spoilers below...

Episode 1X07 - Goodbye, Blue Sky

I thought this was actually not the strongest entry of the series. I liked the focus on Irisa and the widening of the divide between her and Nolan. It gives her some interesting character notes to play, but I do look forward to the day she gets to develop more relationships. The resurrection by nanites struck me as a bit silly, though. How do nanites protect against being dissolved by acid? I thought the Nikki/Rafe confrontation was pretty great. I liked how Nikki tricked him. I am still a bit annoyed that Rafe suddenly knew Nikki was no good a few episodes back when we'd previously been led to believe that she'd pulled the wool over everyone's eyes. I enjoyed the Stahma/Kenya stuff because it actually has repercussions for the characters and wasn't just about showing two women in bed or something. The show's too smart for that.

Episode 1X08 - I Just Wasn't Made for These Times

The story felt a bit familiar, though I can't remember where I'd seen it before. But the basic idea was well executed. I thought the final scene with the astronaut and his wife was well-handled. It does make you wonder where they go from there, though. I liked Rafe's emotional adoption of the astronaut, though I feel bad for Quentin that a stranger seems to get more instantaneous affection that he does! LOL. It was great to have Gale Harold around. I hope he keeps coming back around. He is great with Amanda and fleshes out that character a ton. I thought we got a lot of great insight into her, and she's not as boring as some try to paint her. Glad the Stahma/Kenya stuff was picked up again. But I am kind of surprised at how stupid Kenya was playing it. I'd not want to cross Datak. As Stahma said, she needs to start playing smarter.

I thought tonight's episode was the best of the season.

This show has built up many interesting storylines to follow and has really hit its stride.

I agree...and each character gets more interesting (although I can't stand that old lady). And I didn't expect Datak to be such a ruthless bastard.

I also love Bear McCreary's score. I think this is the best music he's done since Battlestar Galactica.

What I like about the interesting characters is that no matter how unselfish and kind some people appear, it seems like everone has an angle/agenda to play.

Agreed on Datak. That was pretty damn merciless.

Yeah, it's a great score! And totally agreed about Datak. The death seemed like a waste of a good character, but it was brutal and reminded you about Datak's brutal nature, even as he grows more refined/softer outwardly in order to further his position.

My review, with spoilers:
1 x 09 - "If I Ever Leave This World Alive"

I found this a pretty intense episode. A lot of great scheming by Datak. But I'm really sorry to see Conner go. I actually think he was great for Amanda's character, but at least he gave us some more insight into her before he was gone. I just would have liked to see more occasional sparring with Nolan.

The internment of the Iraths was pretty powerful stuff, though I thought the resolution was too sudden with seemingly little in the way of repercussions. Even with Nolan and Irisa.

Nikki now has her hands on the golden pretzel of doom! It was interesting to hear what happened to Rafe's wife, and that Rafe and Nikki had an affair. Nikki could be lying about that, but actually it would FINALLY make sense of why Rafe knew Nikki was a bad apple if they had that much history together.

I hope Doc Yewll doesn't align with Nikki too long. I don't want her to end up dead or something. She's too good a character! I did think it was a bit odd that Kenya wasn't in this episode, since her sister was dying! I'm all for focusing on certain characters, but there are times when the omission of certain characters really stand out.

Have really enjoyed this since it started, but I have to say the feeling has been soured somewhat by hearing that its the cost of Defiance that was a major factor in syfy dropping Warehouse..... I'm finding that hard to forgive and its spoiling my enjoyment somewhat....

I need to watch the newest episode again. I didn't get why Datak suddenly decided not to kill Nolan. Also that bit at the end with the radio interview in the arch was a bit confusing, Seems like Alec pulled the leads to the microphone which seemed counterproductive to Stahma's plan to get Datak elected mayor? That's what I get for trying to watch and do other things at the same time.

I personally couldn't get into it at all, and I tried. However, I never hated a show so much before. I hate it now that I know WH13 is gone because of it.

I never liked WH13 and glad it's gone.

It always looked so cheap and cheesy I never bothered to watch, so not sure if I missed anything.

He didn't kill Nolan because he wasn't conscious. The only reason he killed Connor was that he saw his true, savage self. Alac pulled the leads for Amanda's microphone so she couldn't respond, and only Datak's was live.

:lol

I've been a fan of WH13, and a bit disappointed it's been canceled, but it's had 5 seasons...and that's a pretty good run.

It seems like it's become SyFy's MO to cancel one show in order to fund another. I've said before they should just stop making those crappy movies.

:exactly: :rotfl

You mean those SyFy classics also known as masterpieces of cinema? Those movies are so bad that I'm sure someone started a thread here once...lol

You just can't beat "Dinocroc vs. Supergator." :lol

Thanks for the clarification. I'm guessing that Nolan wasn't totally out of it as the preview of next weeks episode showed him arresting Datak for killing somebody. The last scene seems even weirder now as Amanda watched Alac pull the plug.

Fell asleep during ep 2 and haven't really gotten invested. I will give it a few more watches before making final decisions. I don't care for the white haired characters and I really dislike the bald headed female doctor.

I THINK that might be someone else that he thinks Datak killed. Did Amanda see Alac do that? I thought her back was turned and Datak nodded for Alac to do it before launching into his speech.

I think Warehouse suffered from SyFy screwing with it too much. They changed the times and days it was on too often.

If the show was doing really well, I can't imagine them pulling it. Defiance may be getting the blame, but I'm betting there was more to it than that.

I only enjoyed the first few seasons. It went downhill for me when they brought the young girl in. I just couldn't get into her.

When Amanda tried to interject she looked back at Alec like she knew he had fooled with the mics. That is why I'm going to try and catch it again as it wasn't making sense to me.

Well, this week's episode took care of that. :lol
