I actually disliked the couple early episodes of this I saw...junk I said.

Now I've seen the last 4 or 5 and now I'm into it....good twists and turns..alot more sex thrown in. (ratings)

Yeah ONE year wait may finish the audience off...it's not like they have 26 episodes to show over and over...

Tony Curran who plays Datak isn't the best looking guy anyway, but put him in that white makeup and contacts and he just creeps me out!
Watching him get it on with his wife.....

I am curious about what it is that Kenya taught Stahma that caused Datak to know she cheated.

I never go into a SyFy series expecting more than 3 or 4 short seasons. Haven and Being Human, two other SyFy shows I love, are both going into their 4th seasons, so I fully expect it to be the last for both.

He seemed like an alright looking guy when he played Van Gogh in Doctor Who, but he's definitely creepy in that makeup. I'd never guess it was the same guy if I didn't know better.

I'd be okay with Defiance being 4-5 seasons. I don't think every show needs to last 7-10 years. Usually things go south before then, anyway.

Interesting finale with different layers working here.

1. It's hard to get a read on the Kenya situation. My best guess is she is dead because Stahma won't betray Datak again.

2. I knew Datak Tarr would kill the Colonel the minute he said, "You're going right back to being a nobody." The one thing Datak craves the most is respect from the people of Defiance. He just can't stand to lose face or being dissed by anyone.

3. I'll assume Irisa comes back as she is but with special powers/abilities.

4. June 2014 is a long time. It's almost like out of sight, out of mind.

Yeah, they played that one pretty vague. I wouldn't be surprised if she pops up again, but that character was entirely expendable.

I think Orphan Black is too. You'd think they'd worry about losing viewers with such a long hiatus.

Yeah, not sure why Defiance launched a bit later this go 'round. But, really, it's just a month or so later than it probably would have been out if it had waited just one year. Shorter runs mean a longer wait, I guess unless you chunk up the season. But for shows that are good, people will wait. Can't wait for OB to be back, too.
