Got my sculpt today :)

Thanks Daniel its awesome! Cant wait to see it painted up :)

Cant find the Saturday Toys suit anywhere to die :gah:

Well I got my 2 pairs of Tyler glasses today and am very dissapointed.

They were precut and also already bent at the sides/hinges but unforunately because of that, they had to be shipped upright instead of flat. The envelope was no where near strong enough, and I assume it only took the slightest weight of say a magazine to crush them.

They have a crease all the way across the middle of the lenses on both pairs and are completely ruined.

Dan, my suggestion is to not pre bend them, ship them flat from now on to avoid this happening to everyone else's. :(

Let me know if it's possible to get them replaced or what.

Hey Deckard,
Sorry about that.
I was wondering how to ship them out and I wasn't sure if people would complain if they weren't pre-bent or not. I originally planned on sending them flat in envelopes(the cheaper and easier way) but I got a couple of emails asking that I shipped them differently.
Is the crease in the center (going vertically up?)

that's how it should look, so that it "looks" like the glass wrap around the head sculpt.

However, if it was destroyed in shipping, I will most certainly send you replacements (not-bent but still pre-cut?)
Anyone else please let me know if there is anything wrong with the glasses I shipped out.
I'm so sorry about this huge mess-up. Virginia actually just sent me another set of replacements so I will send out replacements to anyone who received in them in poor condition.

Hey Dan, mistakes happen, no worries.

It's horizontal across the middle of both lenses, looks like they were upright but the cardboard didn't hold and they crushed down the center. I can post pics or send them back if you like. I actually bought two pairs in case something like that happened but it got them both. If I could get another set it would be greatly appreciated, still precut, but I wouldn't bend them, just ship them flat is probably a better bet.

Again, its not a big deal, thanks for getting back to me about it.

definitely will send replacements (can you pm me your address again, or full name so i can make the connection in my logs, haha, sorry I still have trouble connecting usernames and real names)
I will send you them precut and unbent (both!)
ahhh trial and error trial and error in this hobby haha

What body and suit did you decide to use??

I'm currently doing the Book of Eli Denzel. Since this was my second kit bash I didn't want to spend on an expensive body, in case I ruin it somehow, I bought one of those "man boobied" figures from store-rooms.com, they go by the name of "original action figure" or something.

I chose that figure because of 2 things, first, denzel looked a little saggier in the chest area in the movie, so I thought it might work, and second, like I said, it was cheaper than a True Type. BUT, you get what you pay for, the body tends to be loose in the knees, but a little superglue trick fixed it, and the joints are kind of ugly if they are exposed, mostly the elbow area, but since this is a full clothed figure, it was ok. The good thing about this figure is that it comes with a base, a second pair of hands and 2 types of neck joints, which was kinda cool. If the extras does not turn you on, I recommend buying a TTL figure, very tight joints, good quality and looks ok, IF you are going for the cheaper body route, that is.

As for clothing I bought everything from toyanxiety.com, and had to re-tailor most of the clothes. I'll post pics of the figure once I have a camera, mine died :( .
