Destiny (Bungie's new title)

I am totally hooked.
Although i started with a Titan, and love the look, i went with a Warlock afterwards and far better enjoy the look and the gameplay with that class.
Of course, i am just a lowly level 12.
A couple of questions for anyone that has spent a lot of time playing:

If i delete my Titan and Hunter characters, are there any monetary gains in-game to be had in doing that? Or will they just be gone?

Also, Is there some relatively fast way to raise glimmer? I just fancy trying out all the starships from the shipmaster, to see all the cutscenes with each graft. And they all cost at least 2500 each. Just curious.

You can go glimmer farming, one of the areas with tonnes of enemies that keep spawning like the first moon mission, after dinklebot says "we've woken the hive!" Kill all the hive except the knight. Get killed and they will all respawn again. Good way to make cash fast. Also if you drop a black wax idol before killing give you get more glimmer from them.
House of Wolves is live in 40minutes!

Okay. Like you said before, now i have nearly hit level twenty with my Warlock, i will probably go back and level up my Titan. I'm about a quarter of the way from 19 to 20.

And you were not wrong. I keep imagining how upset i'd be if what happened to that kid on youtube happened to me. I'd be crying too, lol.

I have used this trick to level up. It's handy. Put on a hard mission and just keep revisiting the same three bunch of re-spawning enemies. I love this game for that. I did a bounty yesterday for 100 headshots and was back in the tower collecting my reward in less that ten minutes, lol.

House of Wolves is live in 40minutes!

I have to admit to not having a live subscription.
I might have to get one now as certain levels are closed to me because of it.

Just as an aside, as i only just bought the main game, and fancy buying the expansion packs, i got an email from Bungie hawking the new one.
But when i follow a link to buy, it is the most convoluted thing i have seen.
Anyone got the skinny on what i would need to get to be totally up to date? I notice a I and II pack, and Dark Below, etc.
There doesn't seem to be a single upgrade to get me bang up to date.
Just thought i'd ask if anyone here has it all what i need to download.

A bizarre thing. I levelled to 20 yesterday. The last quarter band took forever.
In any case, I put it on to play earlier and played a couple of missions and there is no levelling taking place now I am level 20.
What happens now? How do I level up now?

I'm hooked already and it's just been a week.
I am not interested in online play though. Just playing through the missions and side quests. My warlock is up to the level 9 my Titan was at before I switched to a new class, so I reckon today will be the day I try the third class.
I wish there was a way to keep that Sword Of Crota, lol.

I need two more Exocitics Truth & Patience in Time to have them all. I'm still hooked on it and love to play the raids. Ill help you through some strikes if you need the help. Msg me your PSN.

I'm getting back into this on the PS4, getting ready for HoW. Still only need one gun, Hawkmoon, and it's doing its best to elude me.

Experience does not matter anymore once you hit 20. Only way of leveling up now is by stacking Light on your gear. Chest, boots, helmet, gloves are the only ones that will have light stats on them, weapons don't have any. Certain gear's have higher light stats than others expecially legendary. Green and some blues don't have any light so you might want to replace those. Start the grinding higher level strickes!

The new expansion is pretty good--much better than the first, but still not worth $20. Considering it's equal to 1/3rd of the price of the whole game, it should be at least coming with an entirely new planet. Like the amount of new environmental locations is very low, the vast majority is reused. The final mission area was even found in the game shortly after it came out.

You need to have playstation Plus to be able to play online, also need it to do strike missions since its dungeons that are cleared in groups of 3. Pretty much you will be stuck at lvl 20 till you have access online.

I have access online. The game cannot be played on Xbox One offline. Even the campaign kicks you out if you lose signal for some reason.
I just don't have a Gold account. I have shifted back to my level 10 Titan for a bit.
I also did a bit of paint experimentation today on a spare TT head in preparation to begin my Warlock custom. I think it will work out.
Has anyone else done any Destiny customs?

I was just testing out the colours on the TT head. I plan on using a Storm Shadow head for the final. And I am looking into using 1.5mm FO cable to have the eyes lit up.
I am also inviting expertise on painting HT leatherette clothing. I saw someone on here using vinyl paint and wonder if anyone has ever used that. And if it works okay. I have a StarLord jacket I want to paint blue.

Acrylic works fine and won't crack on leatherette and fabric.

I googled it and saw the pic. I cannot imagine it would work out. For the simple reason, in any game session, your entire player outfit can change. There's no way 3a could cater for that. At least, no way i can think of.
Thanks for the info about the paint. I am hoping it works out.
I was tempted to get the HT Storm shadow clothing and dye that, plus add armour. But i don't think it has the right look.

Mainly due to the fact i left Hunter for last, i simultaneously have enjoyed it the least, but also employed all that i had learned from playing it through with Titan and Warlock classes, so that while(For Titan *and* Warlock), i completed the campaign without doing any bounties or missions and was about level 16 when tackling the final mission, as a Hunter, i have been coupling the campaign with bounties and patrols. The net result is that i have hit level twenty and still have three missions on Mars left to go.
I also managed to snag some of that blue *light* armour as a hunter that i never saw hide nor hare of(Possibly for the aforementioned reason of completing the campaign before light was an issue).
I also have gone bananas and paid for a gold live membership and got the expansion packs.
This game is *really* good...

Thats great to hear man, those DLC packs will unlock many cool features for you now plus you can do strikes and Raids. The new House of Wolves DLC has some really fun missions that I enjoyed the most so far.
