Thread title says spoilers. People were warned.

I agree I'm glad they didn't draw out Deb making the bigger connection. I've had a hard time respecting her character for the last few years. Doakes is the only cop who ever picked up on Dex? Please. Maybe they will stop writing Deb to be a fool.

I'd like to see them set up the end on the show this season. It's about time they took away Dex's safe little world and make him dangerous.

Nitpicky thing, but the iphone fingerprint app was retarded. In the real world not only can iphones not use their screens as a scanner, but it takes hours to get a computer match on a print.

Do we really need spoilers now? WTF? Why would anyone come here to talk if they have not seen the episode this is going to get annoying....

Another thing I didn't like was the guy getting shot, so the only person with a reason to think he didn't commit suicide because of the car just happens to drive in the same street where the russian guy had problems with his car? and the trunk just happened to be OPEN? WTF? you would think that guy would be more careful with a body in there. that whole scene was too convenient

Clearly it was convenient for Mike to die, just as it was for Doakes to die.

As for the boot being open, the keys were hanging out, he'd already unlocked the boot to start changing the tyre, Mike simply opened it up again.

It's always the Token Black guy gettin killed off :lol

I personally liked Mike , sad to see him go .

I think Lewis is gunna have a big part of the show. He has a hatred towards Dexter from last season when Dex didn't approve of his game on serial killers . Lewis is infatuated with Dex only to be shunned away by him.

Maybe Lasquirta stole the blood slide to run her own tests on it? Probably not but who knows after all the diaherea last season.

Deb and Dex are gunna FK :exactly:

Conviencies aside, I enjoyed this episode. It has tension, and gave Deb's character much more meaning. Also, I like that they are bringing up Doakes again. It's been too long.

The ending was jaw droopingly crazy. I didn't think they'd go there that early, but I'm glad they did.

Stopping alone for someone broke down on the side of the road at night? That had "getting killed" written all over it. :lol

Having the Iphone instead of a real scanning device was very quirky, but it would not take hours to get print ID if someone was being submitted for a job screening and thats low priority. Its definitely not going to take hours in a double homicide where one victim is an officer. It was shortened sure, but how much screen time do you want devoted to them showing the searching screen?

Same with the credit card decline, who cares, its just a device to show the status of the cards and that that weirdo is trying to **** with Dexter. :dunno

yes I did not have a problem with the fingerprint app or the card declining,

I had a problem with Dexter killing a guy in the middle of a crowded Airport in plain Daylight, What the F@#$!!!!!!!
He really just goes in a room of the Airport where people that work there can walk up any minute and he kills a guy? no security cameras and no one noticed.????
seriously, What the hell was that? the sloppiest Kill they have written for Dexter yet, it was so out of character and so unbelievable,

What is Louis' obsession with Dexter? He bought that ITK hand before he even started working for Miami Metro. Did he know Bryan?

Hes obsessed with serial killers in general and seems to have a thing for Dexter, so I guess now hes scorned because Dexter didn't pat him on the head when he showed Dex his video game. He'll probably end up as a bigger part than just a Dexter creeper, like maybe discovering Dexter and asking to be his padawa...err apprentice.

I've lost count of how many times Dex was conveniently invisible in a place that should be fortified with cameras.

Hes obsessed with serial killers in general and seems to have a thing for Dexter.. (snip) .. maybe discovering Dexter and asking to be his padawa...err apprentice.

Or maybe he makes Deb disappear permanently.

I don't think he used the screen, but in any case it wouldn't be hard to run a search for a fingerprint match in just the one city. Fingerprint matching times are greatly exaggerated on TV

Mike dying (real life explanation) = He has a reoccurring role on Sons of Anarchy now. :lol

I am kinda glad he left, I never really liked him, he added nothing for the show (The character i mean) I have to admit I was kinda glad about that shooting, I was not looking forward to seeing him again.

yeah I know but a F___ing Airport.. is like the writers are saying
"F__ it, lets just write whatever, people will watch Dexter no matter what"

that whole Airport scene still has me thinking, it was too much even for Dexter, specially since I was expecting Dexter to kill the guy somewhere else, not There... :gah::gah::gah:

Eh, great seeing dex again but not great seeing more of those sloppy kills and bad writing, one thing I found odd is that Masuka managed to miss the prints on the indicator, that was convenient for Dexter wasn't it?:slap

that's because Dexter found the print on the turn signal before Masuka did

Billy Brown is better utilized on Son of Anarchy as Pope's right hand.

If the guy weren't Russian I'd be fine with the search taking a couple of minutes. As they said on the show he didn't have a criminal record in the states, Dex would need do do a search against an international datebase to get his prints.

But whatever. CSI and NCIS take greater leaps of logic in any given episode. If I had a dime for every super grainy video they "enhanced" I'd be rich. Instead of "enhance" they should say "generate evidence".

TSA would have that lost and found room under surveillance, if no other reason than to take sh-t and sell it on ebay.

A review that sums up a lot of what I feel about the opener:

https://www.avclub.com/articles/are-you,85338/

I wouldn't have rated it as highly, but I agree with most of the text itself.

Even with all the convenient plot devices, it's nice that they actually went right into the Deb seeing Dexter aspect, instead of having another goofy moment where Dexter convinces Deb she's on PCP or something.
