I'm actually wondering if they're planning on killing her off. Since she won't really be all that much of the team this year, and she's kind of a dirty cop anyways.

I liked the first episode, still one of the best series on TV these days. The episode got the best numbers out of the series so far as well.

I dunno, part of me feels like Dexter has run it's course.

I kinda feel the same way too.

But usually around eps 9 or 10, it starts getting really good. So we shall see.

I wouldn't doubt it. In the book (which the first season is based on) she dies and Brian lives. So they really swapped those around. Needless to say I was shocked by that since I read the books before watching the show. And the books have done just fine without her. But I admit I wouldn't have minded Brian popping in from time to time. Rita and the kids love him, and of course they are all gone too
